Yellow Fish Cottage is a stylish two bedroomed house located just outside Cadgwith in the popular village of Ruan Minor.
The Cottage has recently been completely refurbished using a palate of greys and white complemented with seagrass flooring and white painted boards, cool and light in the Summer and warm and cosy in the Winter. This thriving village has a well stocked shop and post office and a weekly farmers market where you can buy a good variety of groceries and fresh vegetables.
The cottage is located just a few minutes walk from Cadgwith Cove with it beautiful harbour lined with fishing boats and pretty thatched cottages. Here you can buy fresh fish daily. There is a small beach and a popular pub, The Cove which serves good food, as well as The Old Cellars Restaurant where you can eat seafood fresh from the boats. This area is renowned for its stunning scenery and cliff top walks along the South West coastal path which is a few minutes from your front door. Ruan Minor has a well equipped children's playground overlooking the sea.
The cottage is very spacious with 2 double bedrooms (one double and one twin) a large family bathroom with roll top bath and double shower cubicle, a cosy living room, kitchen/breakfast room with wood burner (gas) and cloakroom, as well as a useful large porch area for coats and shoes. The first floor windows benefit from sea and countryside views. The kitchen is well equipped with a large cooker, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The garden has been newly landscaped to make the most of the sunny Southerly aspect and benefits from a large table and chairs and bbq. There is freeview TV, a DVD player and wi fi broadband.
Cadgwith has two small sheltered coves of sand and pebbles, ideal for swimming, kayaking and snorkelling. Kennack Sands is approximately 2 km away where you will find a larger sandy beach popular with families. There is a Summer lifeguard service and two popular beach cafes. A little further away is Kynance Cove (voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world). Once you start exploring you will find there are many more..
The nearest small town is Helston where you will find a Sainsbury, Lidl, Co-op and Tesco supermarket as well as a good selection of shops.
Falmouth is a little further a field, but well worth a visit, with it's Maritime history, lovely independent shops and restaurants.
