Great Retreat Location

  • 5 of 5

A group of 19 college students, a holiday weekend, and a retreat agenda. What a perfect combination for this amazing property.

student responses were:

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin! The views were stunning and the numerous accommodations, such as bed arrangements, kitchen tools, number of fresh towels, etc., WELL exceeded what I thought you would have. Thank you!

The cabin and location were absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for allowing us to stay here and make some wonderful memories!

Snowed In at Greer Glen Lodge

  • 5 of 5

We had a large group (12 guests) head up to Greer for a weekend of skiing and this cabin had plenty of beds and seating for all of our guests. When we found out we were snowed in for a day, Greer Glen Lodge had everything we needed to make the best of our trip. We had a nice fire crackling, a great space at the table to play games, and we were walking distance to Molly Butler Lodge Restaurant where we bellied up with the locals (and other snowed in visitors) and enjoyed the beautiful snowy weather. The lodge is just right off the main road in Greer and a quick drive to Lazy Trout convenient store. The scenery from the cabin is gorgeous! Even with the weather's hiccup the first day, the trip to Sunrise Ski Resort the next morning was a relatively a quick trip.

Tammy was also very urgent to respond to any questions I had and booking the weekend was extremely easy. Thank you again for having us! We hope to come back again soon!

Great lodge for the entire family

  • 5 of 5

Everyone, from ages 2 through 65, had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed was available at the lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was extra special that we all could stay in one place. The mountain air and the spectacular views were a nice change from home. Everyone got to wear jackets, gloves and hats for a change. Most of us enjoyed a hike through town and some even tackled the mountains. The local restaurant proprietors were very friendly and we enjoyed the delicious milk shakes they served. Hopefully we can return either in the summer or cold of winter for some snow. The only downfall was the cell phone service worked too good. Caught the young folks connecting with the outside world a little more than I would have liked.

Charming cabin for our large family

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is exactly as pictured and has a great location and lot! The views were fantastic. We were so surprised at how large this cabin actually was! We had plenty of space for our extended family (5 families total). Checking in was easy with the coded locks. They did warn us about cell service not being very good so if you want a chance to unplug...this is it. We had to walk down the main street just to make a phone call or get a text message to go through. The internet worked well though and we took advantage of the beautiful weather out on the decks. We definitely want to come back and do some more hiking in the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you Rashelle---we love hearing how much your family enjoyed your visit. And thank you for taking the time to provide us with the feedback. We investigated your report of poor cell reception and discovered that the Network Extender has malfunctioned and needs replacing. A new one has been ordered and will be installed this week.

Great trip with friends!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the Greer Glen. It was spacious enough for the 17 people we had in our group. We had 9 younger kids and the property was perfect for them to play in. The Greer Glen has plenty of room for large groups and the layout is awesome. There were a few issues with things not working properly or missing (fold out bed was broken in one room, drains in bathtubs didn't work, no ladder for one set of bunk beds and no dishwasher) but all in all it was a great stay. If we have a large group going up again we will absolutely consider the Greer Glen.
