Overview

About the property

Two Bedroom Bungalow in Centre of Popular Village

The village of Moelfre is located on the popular north east coast of Anglesey. The location offers a combination of a picturesque maritime village with a unique history, a working lifeboat, excellent beaches, stunning coastline, spectacular countryside and a wide range of things to see and do.

The village offers a family friendly pub close to the beach with panoramic views over Moelfre Bay, a well stocked village store , a choice of two family run cafes,a renowned takeaway fish and chip shop ,a seafront ice cream parlour and a tempting gift shop.

Llais y Llanw has lawned gardens to the front and rear, a decked terrace to enjoy the Anglesey sunshine and off road parking for two vehicles.

The property sleeps four and has a simple layout of two spacious bedrooms, a kitchen diner, lounge and family bathroom.

The kitchen has newly fitted units and has all the appliances necessary for a relaxing holiday plus a Nespresso coffee machine. The bright and airy lounge has doors opening out onto the garden and is furnished with two comfortable leather sofas, a cosy electric stove, TV and DVD player.

The bathroom offers a bath and an overbath electric shower.

Llais y Llanw has been tastefully furnished in a contemporary style with hints to Moelfre's nautical past. Traditional Welsh blanket fabrics have been incorporated into many of the soft furnishings.

Llais y Llanw translates from Welsh to English as "Voice of the Tide". We can't guarantee that the sun always shines down on Anglesey but the unmistakeable calling of the local seagulls will remind you that you are staying a short walk from one of the finest stretches of coast in North Wales and beyond.

About Ffion Hampson

We are a Welsh speaking family of four from Flintshire in North East Wales.

Following a lengthy search we purchased Llais y Llanw in late summer 2015 and spent some months refurbishing the property.

Ffion's mother was raised nearby at Red Wharf Bay (Traeth Coch) and Ffion looks back with fondness at the long summer days spent as a child on the Island of Anglesey.

We enjoy exploring the Island with our own two daughters and hope that they will enjoy similar happy memories in the years to come.

Llais y Llanw was bought for as a holiday rental for guests and as a weekend retreat for our family.

Ffion Hampson purchased this bungalow in 2015

We loved it. Clean and everything we needed to hand.

Spent. My childhood holidays here. So lucky with the weather and the bungalow. We were very comfortable.

Loved retracing my steps over coastal paths and wonderful bays.

Fabulous week.

Thank you. X

Very enjoyable stay at Llais y Llanw

  • 5 of 5

The property is comfortable, cosy and very well equipped. It is on a quiet road, only a few minutes walk from Moelfre harbour and the coast path. We arrived to find a welcome pack so we could have a drink and snack after our journey. The bungalow is bright and cheerful and has french doors that lead out to an decked sitting area and small private garden. We had everything we needed for our stay and there were folders with local information and instructions for all the appliances. Moelfre is a great place to stay with plenty to see and do locally, a good fish and chip shop and small local store. For shopping there are larger supermarkets about 20 minutes drive away in Llangefni. The property is also well placed to explore the rest of Anglesey. Communication with the owner was good with Ffion responding quickly to any questions. All in all, a great holiday.

Moelfre bungalow

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely bungalow which was well equipped. Pleasant private garden. Distant view of the sea and mountains. Super location 1/4 mile from beach, coastal path and pub. The shop and bus stop were even closer.

Thank you for the perfect holiday.
