Absolutely perfect in every way. Lovely hosts in Nora and Simon. The cottage was spotless with every accessory you could possibly need. The welcoming hamper is a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Looking forward to staying again. Thank you Nora and Simon.

Excellent Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay was excellent. A beatiful 'upside down' cottage in a great area. Lots of interesting places to visit within a stone's throw. Would definitely recommend and hope to revisit in the future.

Perfect base for exploring Shropshire

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 peaceful nights after full days out and happy hours on the balcony enjoying the country view. The property is done to a high standard and has everything you need and even more including a local pub within walking distance serving nice food and beer and a nearby Park and Ride for easy access to Shrewsbury. The owners are very welcoming as are their dogs.

Very , comfy ,clean and well supplied cottage. Convenient for town centre and countryside alike.

We were happy with our stay. Shame about TV and poor wifi reception, but only needed it for our house hunting.

Nice touch with a reception hamper and everyday kitchen requirements.

Would stay again if in area.

Everything provided - a true home from home

  • 5 of 5

The Corn House was an ideal place to relax and to enjoy the wonderful beauty of Shropshire - chosen for the King-size bed and comfortable looking chairs! In fact we didn't venture far and made use of the maps, information leaflets and books of walks in the cottage. A selection of games and DVDs, a sewing kit, and of course the welcome hamper and cakes (amongst other things) showed how much Nora and Simon care about their visitors. We felt welcomed, pampered and appreciated. Thank you.

Location

Car: recommended

There is good shopping, historic buildings and castle, a theatre and museum in Shrewsbury. It is within easy reach of the World Heritage site at Ironbridge and also Wroxeter Roman City and vineyard. There is lovely walking country locally and on the Long Mynd and Stiperstones. National cycle routes are on the doorstep. It is a good touring base for the Marches and Mid Wales. There are several National Trust properties locally - Attingham Hall and Park, Powys Castle, Sunnycroft. A bus service between Shrewsbury and Pulverbatch stops in the village.
