Southsea House Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales, dating from Georgian times,is a grade II listed house within Tenby's medieval town walls and a few minutes away from both the beach and the town centre.

Make your way along the narrow streets from Tenby's Tudor Square to Southsea House. Once inside you are in a haven of peace in the large airy rooms decorated in calming colours. The courtyard at the back is an ideal spot to relax with a book or enjoy an al fresco meal. The hustle and bustle of life in the town is just audible. If you prefer, walk 100 metres to the steps which lead down to the vast sandy beaches. In the evening there are restaurants and bars for every taste or prepare a meal at home in the well equipped modern kitchen. The large wooden dining table seats 12. There are good quality towels and bed linen as night beckons.

Southsea House is ideal for family holidays and for family and friends reunions. On the ground floor there is a large open plan living area with a fully equipped modern kitchen,containing 2 dishwashers, a range cooker, an American style fridge freezer, table and 4 chairs. The dining area holds a large wooden table which seats 12 and then there is comfortable seating overlooking, through bifold doors, a paved courtyard with the medieval town wall to the rear. There is also a large TV and ipod docking station. At the front of the house there is a small sitting room room with a large wall mounted TV and books and board games. Steps from the hall lead down to a cellar with a washing machine, tumble dryer and WC. The bedrooms have all been furnished with the help of an interior designer. White cotton bed linen and towels are included. There are 3 double bedrooms on the first floor, one with a king size bed. There is a large family bathroom with separate shower for use by two of the bedrooms. The third has an en suite bathroom. On the second floor there are two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed, and a large modern shower room. The two bedrooms to the rear of the house, on the first and second floors, have French doors with Juliet balconies. In addition there are two travel cots and two 'z' beds for children that are best placed in the Blue and Green rooms The stair ways and second and third floors are carpeted. Downstairs the floor is brushed and oiled oak. The private courtyard to the rear of the house is a useful outdoor space. Wifi is available throughout the house.

Tenby has 4 blue flag beaches, each with its own distinct character: Castle Beach, South Beach, North Beach and Harbour Beach, voted prettiest beach in Europe 2014. Barafundle Bay, a drive and short walk away, was voted the best beach in Britain and one of the top 10 beaches in the World, whilst Manorbier, also a short drive away, is great for bodyboarding and surfing.

Tenby has many restaurants and coffee shops, some of which are great for breakfast, and there are many more eating places in the countryside and villages and along the coast and inlets.

We have been going to Pembrokeshire since our 20s and now go with our grandchildren. We purchased Southsea House in 2011 and spent a year renovating and refurbishing the property. It is now a stylish and comfortable home from home which we use with our family and friends.

We first holidayed in Tenby in the cottage next door. We liked the fact that the back wall of Southsea House courtyard is the medieval town wall complete with arrow slits. The property is ideally situated for the beach and the town centre, and only a short walk to the car parks and supermarket. You don't need to use your car in this part of Tenby except to explore the beautiful bays further along the coast or walk on more distant parts of the Coastal Path. Southsea House is a very easy house to live in which makes it ideal for a holiday. It's just as convenient to come back from the beach to the house for lunch as it is to take a picnic.

What makes this house unique

Tenby is an ideal place for a holiday at any time of the year because of its many attractions including beautiful beaches and bays, excellent walking along the coastal path with its spectacular views and lots of cafes and restaurants and interesting shops. It's narrow, cobbled streets are attractively picturesque.

We had a lovely time in Tenby and were lucky the weather was so fabulous!

I must say your house was excellent! Very well equipped and comfortable. Clean and fresh too.

We loved the welcome pack - that was a lovely touch!

Lots of stuff to keep the children busy both in and out too.

We will recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful and spacious house in a lovely town.

The house is lovely, there is plenty of space for everyone. It has everything you need and is furnished and decorated beautifully. The Juliet balconies off the bedrooms at the back were also really nice. The area at the back was great because it was completely enclosed so was good for young children. Having an old castle wall as your garden wall was amazing! Overall we had a really nice time in Tenby. The beaches are absolutely beautiful - long and completely sandy. We would love to visit and stay in this house again.
