This charming cottage on the Inis NI Peninsula has been lovingly restored by the owner resulting in a bright comfortable cottage where modern day comforts marry perfectly with the charms of the past. Nestled on the Wild Atlantic Way, it occupies a superb location on a small peninsula, surrounded by the clear waters of Bertraghboy Bay and was featured on the TV series ’Monty Halls’ Great Irish Escape’ in 2011. There are stunning views across the bay to the ’Twelve Pins’ mountain range of Connemara, whilst a rocky shoreline is just ½ mile and a lovely sandy beach is 4 miles. The nearby village of Roundstone offers traditional music and excellent seafood in local pubs and restaurants, as well as boat trips for sea angling. Cyclists have a wealth of routes to explore including the North Connemara route, 55km, and the tranquil scenery of the Bog Road where you can discover the famous Roundstone Bog conservation area. The Connemara National Park is a haven for a range of bird life and provides an excellent spot for a bit of bird watching. Look out for Whooper swans, kestrels, snop and Reed Buntings. All in all, a wonderful location to retreat from your worldly cares. Shop, pubs and restaurants 3 miles.
