About Andy & Emma Giddings
Hi we are a family of four that have holidayed in St Ives for over 20 years and are now very excited to own our first home here. 2016 will be exciting for The Giddings family, St Ives is our second home and we look forward to welcoming many guests to share our new home with us. If we could have brought the fantastic reviews across from the previous owners of 4 St Eia we would have done. We make as many trips as we can each year driving all the way from Essex! Now our boys are older we spend many a day on Porthmeor Beach Body Boarding as a family come rain or shine! Porthgwidden Beach is another favourite of ours, both of which are a stones throw from 4 St Eia. Location was key for us! We know St Ives very well, have made many friends and contacts over the years and are happy to try and answer any questions you may have. We hope you enjoy St Ives as much as we do, it really is unique! Emma, Andy, Jack & Harry Giddings.

Why Andy & Emma Giddings chose St Ives
This cottage is perfect for a beach holiday, there are three beautiful beaches that are within 5mins walk of the house, Porthmeor which is a great surfing beach, Porthgwidden which is perfect for families and the Harbour beach which enjoys the views of the town. The location is ideal for families as it is all on the flat, no big hills to climb whilst carrying surfboards! You can even glimpse the sea from the master bedroom!
What makes this Cottage unique
This cottage really is in a fantastic location it is handy for everything. We are within a five minute walk to the Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum. There is the local Norway Stores which is handy for day to day groceries and the odd bottle of wine which is again is less than a five minute walk. Again it is a five minute walk to the pier which is perfect for late afternoon crabbing. There are a number of excellent restaurants within the town and you can be down on Fore Street within 5minutes walking at a very leisurely pace! It is possible to do a Tesco home delivery for when you arrive which is something that lots of people do.

fantastic stay in st ives in a beautiful cottage
we had a great 3 days in St Ives, in a renovated cottage that was finished to a very high specification and situated in a perfect location, central to all amenities.
we have stayed in St Ives many times and always loved it, across the road from the cottage is a lovely quaint tea room, called Olives, well worth a visit as they have all home made cakes and scones.
All of the restaurants on the island are recommended, food, ambience and friendliness are a main characteristic.
A big thanks to Emma and Andy for allowing us to stay in their beautiful cottage.....................................We will be back

Very clean & well presented house.
It was a great house with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.
Lovely house and a great location which means everything is only a short walk away.
Fantastic location with lovely beaches just minutes away.
The cottage was beautiful. It had everything you needed to enjoy your holiday. It was fantastic having the shops and beaches on your doorstep. We have stayed in St Ives several times as a family and all agreed this was by far our best accomodation and location. Parking wasn't an issue as the car was left at the rugby club at the top of the hill for the week! It was easy to unload and load the car up at the end of our stay outside the cottage.
We will definitely be back!
Great for families with two kids or teenagers.
Lovely terraced house on four floors in Downalong. You have to be able to go up and down stairs, especially adults who take the double room at the top, but it’s worth the effort and you will be fit at the end of your stay! The house feels quite spacious because the kitchen, sitting room and bedrooms are separated on different floors. Nice to have a small TV on the wall in kitchen and v good HD TV in the cosy sitting room. Two shower rooms are handy and both showers work well. Key lock system works really well, too, so no need to worry about who has the key or about losing it! Detractable hanging space outside for wetsuits is handy. Location wonderful for strolling round the harbour, swimming at Porthgwidden beach and surfing on Porthmeor beach. Also very convenient for anyone wanting to do an art course in Downalong. We would definitely want to stay there again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely detailed review. We really do appreciate it and I am sure future guests do too!
We would love to welcome you back to 4 St Eia in the future!

The property was furnished to a very good standard. However there was no handrail half way up the second staircase which made it quite tricky when using the stairs.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We will take on board your comments and see if there is anything we can do.
