Group retreat before conference
The Burlington Quaker Meeting House is one for the books. As a scouting instructor and counselor, finding a place to stay for a group or 60 people or all age ranges can be difficult. The Quaker House met all of our needs and were sooooo accommodating making our visit run smoothly. The kids enjoyed it as well as it was spacious and rich with history. Dee (property manager) even provided us with a tour which made our jaw drops. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

More than just a place to stay
The Quaker Meetinghouse in Burlington is far more than a place to stay. Our host, Dee, was welcoming, kind, loving, and joyful. She shared the history of the building and the town, and invited us into that history. We wish we had more time to learn from her, and to explore the town, which is historic and beautiful, especially the waterfront. In addition to the bunkrooms, you have access to meeting rooms, a game room, an entire dining hall and a commercial kitchen, as well as the front lawn and historic cemetery in the back of the building. Antique stores and eateries abound, and the riverline makes it easy for you to access Philadelphia, Trenton, and Atlantic City. Highly recommended for large groups interest in history and adventure!

Why they chose this property

It is located in historic Burlington City, est. 1677, three blocks from the Delaware River and one block from the Burlington Towne Center RiverLINE rail stop. The city and many of its residents played important roles in the early history of the Colonies and the young United States of America. Although situated along the main street, it is set back from it, buffered by a brick wall, front lawn and covered porch, and nestled in a beautiful tranquil 1.58 acre space.

What makes this property unique

Today, Burlington City is full of restaurants, services, shopping and festivals. On the 3 blocks between us and the river, there is a brewery, Italian restaurant, soul restaurant, quilting shop, pizzeria, jewelry store, fitness studio, juice bar, Christian bookstore, antique dealer, record dealer/book store, pharmacy, ice cream parlor, cookie store, florist, restaurant, and coffee shop.
