This delightful cottage for up to four guests is very close to Black Down the highest part in the South Downs National Park. The cottage has been fully renovated but has kept its traditional features with latched doors and a woodburning stove. Featuring a traditional living room and fireplace there is also a superb kitchen and garden room to the rear. Downstairs also there is a modern and spacious shower room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms that are joined by a Jack and Jill arrangement cloakroom. The main bedroom has a king sized double bed while the second bedroom to the front has twin beds. Please note that children under the age of 6 are not permitted.
Lickfold is approximately 5 miles north west of Petworth. The cottage is set next to the green in Lickfold and less than 200 metres from the local pub in this small hamlet. Petworth is a picturesque market town full of traditional and historic buildings. It has many antique shops, small individual shops and tea rooms. The town is most famous for Petworth House and Park which with its wall forms a major part of the town. The Park is very extensive and offers great views of both the house and the South Downs. To the west is Cowdray, famous for its polo. The pretty small town of Midhurst is next to the Cowdray Estate. Head south from there to Singleton and Goodwood.
