Honeypot Cottage stands detached in a peaceful location within the traditional Devon village of Sidford. It has been decorated and furnished to a good standard, and features a power shower in the en-suite wet room, a memory foam mattress for comfort and French doors which open from the living room to the cottage garden. The living room also boasts recliner chairs with footstools for added comfort. Very convenient for bus routes to Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Exeter and Honiton which has excellent railway links. Sidford boasts two excellent pubs (dog friendly), an award winning restaurant, fish and chip shop and grocery store, all within walking distance. From the village it is a 1½-mile walk along the beautiful National Trust ’Byes’ walk to Sidmouth (this is welcoming to dogs all year round). ’A town caught still in a timeless charm’, which captivated the Poet Laureate, John Betjeman, and it will captivate you, too. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has much to offer visitors, especially the Jurassic Coastline, historic towns including Sidmouth, Seaton, Beer and Branscombe, the famous donkey sanctuary, coastal drives and walks with stunning views. There are also many National Trust properties to visit nearby. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

The property was exactly as described, both Carol and Neil were very keen to show all the many features of the cottage and their quite wonderful garden. Tilly, our Westie, was thrilled to wander without being called continuously. Everything that is in the cottage is to a very high standard and the owners will go the extra mile if you find yourselves with any sort of problem. We had a wonderful two weeks staying there and it was quite a wrench to drag ourselves back home. Altogether a truly memorable holiday and we will certainly be returning in the future. Sandra, Keith and Tilly.
