Three+ bedrooms, three-bath beach house with secluded cove, extra lot for family games. Tastefully decorated with local artwork. Elegant and simple beach house. Queen-size beds with down comforters, (also non-allergenic available) one single bed and a queen-size futon in an extra alcove. Upstairs bath off master bedroom has jetted tub and view. WiFi, flat-screen t.v. in living room. Custom-kitchen including dishwasher and microwave and a few condiments. Large dining and living area with views to water, cove and islands. Take your morning coffee and slide into the hot tub which has a view of salt-water bays, islands and mountains. Vacant lot next door offers further privacy as well as extra parking.

La Conner offers shopping, Tulip Festival in April, Smelt Derby in February, Art's Alive, The Farm Festival, fine restaurants and antique shopping. Nearby Anacortes offers many hiking trails and kayak rentals. Both La Conner and Anacortes offer whale watching tours.

We are not responsible for accidents on the property, use at your own risk. There are kayaks on the property. They are NOT for your use; we are sorry, but the liability is too great. La Conner and Anacortes offers kayak rentals in season.

The adjoining lot (for your use) has an access-way to the beach that is public. Occasionally, rarely, it is used by the public.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted you to pass on to the owner how much we enjoyed our stay at Tippingrock this weekend. It was beyond lovely, and we all LOVED it! Also, please let him know how much we appreciated his collection of regional art. Very impressive!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tippingrock! The amenities in the house are great from the kitchen to sheets and towels. I highly recommend it and would definitely rent it again!

Comfortable, well-appointed home in a quiet location

  • 5 of 5

Two retired couples and a retired widow thoroughly enjoyed living in this home for a week. The downstairs bedroom is ideal for our friend who is getting herself back in shape after double-knee surgery. The half-bath is ideal for her. The open kitchen, dining area and living room made for easy flowing conversations while cooking, using the spotting scope to see the bald eagles, oyster catchers, gulls, etc., watching the convention, reading, etc.

The kitchen was well-equipped with a collection of sharp knives (I didn't need the chef's and fillet knife I took with us!), pots and pans, mixing bowls, colanders, cooking tools, etc. as well as more than sufficient plates, bowls, cups and glasses (including a couple in the freezer) and flatware. There is a Keurig coffee maker as well as a 10-cup coffee maker. The bedrooms are comfortable and airy. The bathrooms are clean. There is a huge tub in the master bath and a full bath on the second floor. There are a washer and dryer on the main floor.

There is a comfortable, west-facing deck with a hot tub and a big charcoal grill. We had gorgeous sunsets and, I'm told, some wonderful sunrises. There is beach access. There is parking for three vehicles. The location is convenient to Anacortes and the San Juan ferry, Deception Pass and Whidbey Island, Chuckanut Drive, La Conner, the Bread Farm, the Rhody Cafe and the Samish Creamery as well as the fish store in Burlington.

The perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

This house was great for a girls getaway. The house was charming with all the artwork throughout. We had amazing weather and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The nice little inlet provided a great place to paddle board (rent from Bob at LaConner rentals in town - he delivered and picked up plus let us keep them half of the next day without charge because it was so windy the previous day). The town is super cute and all the food we had was excellent!

Being able to relax on the deck was the best part. The hot tub is a tad on the small side for 5 people, but we made it work!

This area is so relaxing and peaceful. It was perfect for a girls trip, but would also be a nice place to take a family.

Nice house with lovely view.

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of room, well equipped, clean- great place to relax in the evening and watch the sunset. Warm and sunny on the back deck.

Judy was very helpful! ( We accidentally locked ourselves out while enjoying the hot tub on the back deck). Thank you!

A quaint house in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

This property is a charming house with a spectacular view of the water and sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped and cooking is a pleasure. The house is comfortable, the hot tub is great and the home is well maintained. Judy is very responsive and easy to talk to. A few items however: there are a couple of steps everywhere- down to the living room, to the hot tub, before the entry. Being vigilant for someone with weak knees is important. The bed in the master bedroom is a full size and a bit tight for tall people. The bathroom upstairs is a bit funky and there is no shower in the main bathroom. That being said, it was still a lovely stay. We had a great weekend!

Owner's Response: Hi Maya, thank you for your review; we are so glad you enjoyed Tippingrock. I will pass onto the owner about the steps, possibly a light strip in a different color will alert people to the step into the sunken living room. You are always welcome; please visit us again. Judy
