* sliding door to back garden of patio and lawn with picnic table, BBQ, rotary drier

* large entrance hall, with oak floor, hooks for coats and keys, and space for muddy boots

* travel cot and high chair

* gas and electricity included, plus first trug of firewood

* off road parking for up to 6 cars

* 1-2 dogs welcome by arrangement

* bed linen provided, bring your own towels

* under 2 minutes walk to two excellent local pubs and Deli

* quiet village away from the crowds, but handy for Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere etc

* whole week Saturday to Saturday bookings required at peak times, but flexible in the off-season

Torver is a village about 2 miles south of Coniston village and a mile’s walk from Coniston Water. Two village pubs, the Wilsons Arms, and the Church House Inn, are attractive and welcoming, serving great food. You can buy delicious supplies, or just the paper, from the Torver Deli. Torver sits under the Old Man of Coniston and Dow Crag, with wonderful walks from the door. It is approximately 40 minutes’ drive from J36 (Kendal) of the M6.

The house was well presented, and equipped,with everything you might need . Cosy log fire and comfy sofas. Alarm clock not needed as floors upstairs bit creaky-you knew when the children got up! Lovely location-we would like to visit again.

From home to home, clean, tidy and extremely well equipped

The welcoming pack can as a nice surprise. The house was spacious (we totalled 6 adults and dog), very clean and tidy and included everything one could want plus more! We had arranged for tesco online shopping orders so no time was wasted on boring shopping trips! We did have to bear in mind however whilst doing our online shopping that the freezer part of the fridge was not huge. Our time was spent fell walking, swimming in the lakes, kayaking etc etc... a busy but lovely time, with varied weather, but plenty of sunshine. The owner was always anxious to please, and yes, I would recommend this property to a friend.
