Why Sarah Hose chose Aigues-Mortes
Because it is tastefully decorated, yet cosy. The garden is secluded, quiet and south facing, with the shade of a giant parasol, if needed. An outdoor table and chairs on the decked area for al fresco eating with a tiled area for sunbathing with sun loungers.
What makes this Villa unique
From my house it is only 5 Minutes walk by foot to the Medieval 13th century walled ramparts, within which are restaurants, cafes, wine bars, patiserrie, boulangerie, gift shops, ice-cream parlours, gift shops and many more. The house is central to so many beautiful places.

Great location for exploring the area - homely modern property
The house is situated just outside the walls of Aigues Mortes (you can see the main tower from the development). This holiday property is nicely furnished and provides enough space for a couple or family with small children. A great base for exploring the area - loads of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The pool is nice (better than photos suggest) and we felt very comfortable using it - a good family vibe. The owner is lovely as well! Thanks
Dear Stuart & Naomi
Many thanks for your comments...I do so appreciate it and hope to have you return one day soon.
Just returned and followed up on your visit to Parc Ornithologique.
which was well worth a visit and also, visited the beach at Grand Travers, at
La Grande Motte, which we greatly enjoyed on a lovely sunny day, with hardly anyone there.
Thank you for these recommendations and hope to have you stay again.
All the best, Sarah.
Best we have stayed in on this site
perfect stay and perfect house, we will be back next year
Thank you Fred & Jan,
I really appreciate your lovely comments.
Do hope to have you stay again.
With kind regards, Sarah.
When we made our first visit to 'Le Reve' and Aigues-Mortes last year we were totally smitten and vowed to return. This year we did just that, and we're still enchanted.
The house is charming. It's comfortable, well equipped and ideally located, being just a short walk from the beautiful medieval centre of Aigues-Mortes.
Aigues-Mortes itself is a real gem. Full of history - and wonderful restaurants!
A great base for exploring this lovely part of France.
Another memorable holiday - and another vow to return
Tranquility in the sun!
Le Reve has everything you need, fully fitted modern kitchen,sofa,T.V. C.D Player, and a large tiled sun drenched patio surrounded by exotic plants which isn't over looked.
The Resort has everything and more to give, wonderful restaurants, wildlife in abundance, local freshly grown food including daily caught fish by the local community.
Twice weekly markets with a large variety of food and home products.
Ideal for couples or small family parties,Aigues Mortes has History, sunshine and wonderful cuisine!! a Must, we'll be back again!!
The villa ticks all boxes for 99% of people. It has peace and yet is a minute away from the town.
The property is clean, well looked after and I will return.
Restaurants range from cheap to very expensive, but all really worth while.
If you want simple go to the yellow hotel as recommended by others across the bridge. Very basic food, but very well done.
Shopping. Food. Culture. Bars. Great nights out. All here.
Thanks you Sarah
Sarahs Lovely Villa in Aigues Mortes
We went in October 2009 to Sarahs Villa and had a superb time. The weather was perfect. 23C during the day and light jumper at night time. You could still sit out and drink a bottle of wine outside at night, watching the birds fly overhead.
The restaurants in town were excellent and no one had any trouble finding something they liked.
The villa was perfect, only 5 minutes walk into town to get your bread or butchers or milk. Everthing you want is in town if you don't want to use a car or there are 2 supermarkets a 5 minute drive away. The villa has everything you want for a holiday and was very homely. It's not like the other villas you get where they buy stuff for holiday makers. This felt like someones home and that is why we will come back again.
We did not use the pool as we are not swimmers and were so busy going out and about to all the lovely sites nearby.
We saw Pont du Gard, Montpellier, Nimes and went to Frontignan near Sete for some delicious dessert wine. Shopping is the best and even my hubby loved it!!! But then again he also loved fishing from outside the house!!
You really must visit this part of France and out of season is so fantastic that it really does compete against in season. Plus you don't get all the tourists out of season.
Definitely a must for families, children, adults romantic holiday or just a group of friends who want to slow down for a week or two.
