Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
Town: Situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline, Beadnell Bay is an attractive and peaceful harbour village established in Saxon times as an important fishing village and a 'smuggler's haven'. Somewhat more peaceful now, this settlement still lists fishing as one of its major sources of income but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and nearby sandy beaches. Within the village itself is a shop and two pubs which serve excellent food. The popular town of Seahouses is just over a mile away and has a further selection of shops, supermarkets and restaurants whilst the nearby Farne Islands offer an excellent spot for bird watching whilst the market town of Alnwick is just a short drive away.
