Had a great stay at the But an Ben, felt homely and was good to come back to after our days out, great location for all amenities and exploring the highlands, really enjoyed using the wood burner, would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great time in a perfect cottage in a proper Scottish town.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this fine, well-equipped cottage. Great location within a block of restaurants and shopping. Grantown-on-Spey is about midway between the Cairngorms and the Whisky Trail, but less commercialized than other towns. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Very enjoyable stay in Grantown-on-Spey

  • 4 of 5

Very nice place to stay if you want to visit Speyside. Grantown is a lovely little highland town and has all the amenities you would expect.

The cottage was very well appointed except for the very small bathroom. I am fairly tall and found the shower very small, leaving me unable to soap myself in the actual shower cubicle(the reason for four stars instead of give); apart from that, it was extremely comfortable accommodation. Very comfortable beds and living space; complete with all the kitchen equipment you could possibly want.

We booked it to take advantage of the fishing that is available on Speyside and we weren't disappointed in the least.

I would recommend the "But-an-Ben" to anyone thinking of making Grantown-on-Spey or Speyside their central location for a holiday.

The listing description was very accurate and the property was very clean and tidy with everything you could want; the owners even left us a basket of "goodies" as a welcome gift.

Would definitely book again.
