Monksmoor House is a delightful, detached house in Middleton-in-Teesdale, North East England, offering plenty of charm and upside down accommodation. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor, one with an en-suite, along with a family bathroom, a first floor kitchen, utility, a sitting room with a dining area and a woodburner, a cloakroom and a further bedroom. Outside, there is a balcony with furniture leading from the snug, along with a ground floor enclosed courtyard with furniture and off road parking for three cars. Surrounding by countryside, Monksmoor House is a fantastic rural retreat, with a fine blend of character and contemporary features and furnishings and amenities just a short walk away. A lovely house in a very pretty village

We had a lovely time in this homely but we'll equipped property. We really liked hanging out in the open plan living area and on the upper storey decking. Great location for walks and visit to Durham. One thing: nowhere in the property to let the dog out. Some grass verge outside or fields behind, but she had to be on a lead.
