Paris and Larressingle, a balanced way of living.
Macha purchased this House in 2015
Why Macha chose Larressingle
It's difficult to describe the tranquility in this part of the word, where time seems to stand still among ancient terraces of Armagnac vineyards, sylvan copses and patchwork fields of sunflowers and wheat. Yet there is also a buzzing musical and cultural scene with events held in most villages most weeks through the summer, including open-air events in Larressingle village and across the area. If you like your music, Jazz in Marciac (60km south) in July & August is a major national event (this year Buena Vista Social Club, Marcus Miller, Chick Corea, Melody Gardot headlining) [http://www.jazzinmarciac.com/] and Tempo-Latino at Vic-Fezensac (23km south) has a more rustic feel in late July (with Ernesto Tito Puentes headlining in 2015) [http://www.tempo-latino.com/]. There are also regular music events on at the various cathedrals and abbeys at Condom, La Romieu and Valence-sur-Baise, just a very short drive away. Then when the urge to go shopping takes over, there is a market somewhere nearby most days of the week. There is a partial timetable at this website: http://www.brouquere.com/gers/event_calendar_en.htm but the tourist offices in most towns will have more information nearer the time. In Gascony, original home of d'Artagnan, it's either all go......or all chill out. You choose!”
What makes this House unique
Among the most beautiful villages in France Larressingle Larressingle seduced me as soon as I arrived in Gascony. But I first stayed near Eauze, then in Condom. Finally with Le Tilleul and Le Figuier, their terraces, their stone walls, their old beams, it was love at first sight.

Superb position, lovely cottage
In the heart of the village of Larressingle with the castle as its neighbour. A well furnished comfortable house with a heated swimming pool, we were swimming till the end of October. Macha is kind and helpful, there is private parking, a garden for the dog and to enjoy the sun, 3 different restaurants a few steps from your front door, great walks in all directions and only 5 kilometres from Condom with its Sunday farmers market, shops, supermarkets, Banks, etc.
Lots of interesting villages close by, Forces, Montreal, to name just 2, wine to be bought from the Sunday market or loads of Chai in the surrounding countryside. A great place for a holiday by yourselves or en family.
It was a pleasure to have you both there. Say hello to Monty !
Beautiful location, typical house, confortable and welcoming
Gascony in a tiny village, charming XIIIth century castle and beautiful house with stove, beams, stone walls and ... Wi-Fi
A beautiful villa in a lovely part of France.
The property was spacious and well-equipped. It was easy to access, yet in the heart of rural France.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. It was a pleasure to have you around.
12th Century fortified village is regularly voted as one of the 100 Most Picturesque Villages in France, with it's partially ruined walls, medieval stone houses and colourful gardens. Nearby, many kilometres of quiet country lanes and footpaths provide peaceful pathways for exploring on foot, bike or horseback. Forests, hills, fields of vines and sunflowers complete the picture of rural Gascony!
