The cottage is perfect for exploring West Cornwall with the legendary Lands End, The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, the quaint harbour village of Mousehole, St Michael’s Mount and the historic town of Marazion, all just a short drive. It is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the area is renowned for its wonderful scenery and coastal paths, attracting wild life enthusiasts and bird watchers from around the world. Take the dramatic scenic coastal road from nearby Pendeen to St Ives passing heather clad moorlands and the remains of the engine houses, dotted on the landscape. Alternatively, you can take the coastal train from St Erth to St Ives which passes some of the area’s most beautiful beaches. St Ives is also the home of the Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. The nearby village of St Buryan has a shop/post office, pub and beautiful, late 15th-century church. The area is the location for the ’Poldark’ TV series.
