Beautiful villa with amazing view

  • 5 of 5

We have had a very nice stay at the beautiful located villa.

The most amazing view over the mediterranean sea especially in the evening with the lights end the stars above you.

Our girls had a lovely time in the large garden and swimming pool and eating fresh figs from out off the trees in the garden!

A hammock under the olive trees made it very romantic!

The restaurants and pizzeria's as also just a coffee or prosecco at the bars it not expensive at all! However you have to speak a bit italian though....:-)

The owner was very helpful in everything.

The house is beautiful decorated with everything we wish for. We have stayed two weeks what was good for visiting Rome and Napels.

The beautiful sea and beach at Sabaudia and Sperlonga are very nice.

Overall we have had a wonderful time!

Wonderful villa with beautiful scenery

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation at Villa H&M. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. The many outdoor seating areas were very nice. The pool is great and offers good views. The only little drawback was that the water pressure was sometimes very low, and at times there was no water at all to use. We soon learned to use the water when it was available (especially in the mornings) so it didn't create a huge problem. Also the owner and the local connections were very helpful with everything.

The house is nicely located a little away from the busiest attractions and tourist places, but within 30 min. drive of beautiful beaches and only a 50-minute traintrip away from Rome. The local village has all the basic services nearby with a few cozy inexpensive restaurants/pizzerias very close by. Be ready to speak Italian, though :)

Mooie villa bezorgde ons weinig plezier.

  • 2 of 5

Hier aangekomen schrokken we enorm!

Lovely house with imperfections

  • 3 of 5

First of all, this is a very lovely house. It is bright and spacious and the outdoor area is very nice. There is a big rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view of the valley and the Mediterranean in the horizon. The house was clean and inviting.

But; as we arrived saturday, the caretaker found out that the pool pump was broken and the water was turning green. This was fixed monday around noon. The pool was partly usable, but not very inviting. When I rent a pool house for my family with 3 kids, the pool is a essential part of the holiday.

Sunday we found out that the refrigerator in the kitchen in the basement was not cooling and we had to throw out all our food. The owner said that we could just use the small one on the second floor and this just had access from the outside, so we had to walk back and forth at every meal. The fridge was not fixed. Neither was the dishwasher, which didn't work either. The owner said that it might just be water shortage, but it never came to work and there was mold inside.

I would have prefered a more active participation from the owner in getting the problems fixed. And of course a compensation for the days without a properly working pool.

Lazio ( Latin; Latium ) is a beautiful region in central Italy that is bordered y Tuscany, Umbria, Abruzzo, Campania and the Tyrrhenian sea. The capital is Rome.

The name Lazio comes from the ancient people of the Latins.

With capital Rome, Lazio is a very important area with history, art and architecture are concerned. A large part of Lazio province is only a few meters above sea level.

This area was 2000 years ago a swamp area and was known by the name of Pontine Marshes.

In the years after 1928 these swamps were finally drained.

Towns:

Cities that are worthwhile ( besides Rome ) to visit are:

Latina, Sermonetta, Bassiano, Gaeta, Frossione and Napels.

From Napels you can pick a boot to travel to beautiful Capri.

Beach:

Within 20 minutes to get to the nearest beach of Latina, Sabaudia, San Felice Cerceo.

The 15 km long sandy beaches with beautiful lagoons are a must go!

San Felice Cerceo has wonderful restaurants and is a fantastic resort with a harbor.

The Garden of Ninfa, This is the most beautiful and romantic garden rambling through medieval ruins.

( bucket list )

Rome:

The city is situated on the banks of the river Tiber.

The center of Rome is situated on seven hills east of the Tiber.

The city was inhabited over the centuries by countless empires, consuls, kings, politicians, celebrities and ordinary people, who have all left their mark.

A stroll through modern Rome is often a stroll through the centuries, from the Roman Empire through the Middle ages to the time of Mussolini and back again.....

Rome has a mediterranean climate.

A pleasant temperature is between April and June.

In July and August it is very hot in Rome.

September is also a perfect time to visit Rome.

The winter is characterized by very mild temperatures.
