About the property

2 double (ensuite),1 twin, and sleeping deck, Main bathroom. Sleeps 8(+2)

Watermill cottage is situated on the edge of Bryngwran village on the Isle of Anglesey, it's a fantastic location for outdoor and active vacations during all seasons, or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The cottage has been sympathetically converted from an old stone barn to a spacious cottage offering superb accommodation of an exceptionally high standard. It's been tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished and has plenty of character, such as the wooden and slate flooring, exposed stone walls and large oak beams, a particular feature in the living area. The cottage benefits from its own secluded terraced garden with a patio area at the back of the house, whilst at the front there is another spacious yet private patio with BBQ, seating and plenty of colourful boarders. There is also room for three cars to park amply in their own private area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just dropping you a line to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at the cottage last week. The weather wasn’t great (windy!!!), but everything else was lovely.

Getting back to the cottage after being buffeted on the beach was a joy! The accommodation is of a superb standard, so cozy and welcoming - it felt like a real home from home to all of us.

We won’t hesitate to come again next year!

Relaxation at its best.

  • 5 of 5

I Not wanting a loud Stag Do I booked this cottage with 6 guys for a Quiet weekend of jamming, good food and beautiful scenery. And boy did we get that.

This Cottage was a beautiful bar conversion in the heart of Anglesey. The property itself was floorless and very tastefully decorated. I really envy the kitchen space as the there was plenty space and everything you would need for self-catering with the shops about 10 minutes away. But I do recommend the oyster catcher restaurant.

All of us slept well as the property was well heated and comfortable, a perfect setting for a relaxing time away.

Overall I couldn’t have been happier and I’m definitely planning on returning.

Lovely, comfortable accommodation.

  • 5 of 5

first break away as a family for a while and it was exactly what we needed to recharge. From the warm welcome we received on arrival from Carolyn to the clean comfortable beds, we got far more than we expected.

The accommodation is situated in a great place to use as a base to explore the island (we did some of that) but it was also great to just relax and unwind siting in the back seating area shielded from the weather star spotting. we even hired a hot tub while we were there.

We would definitely return and are looking at booking again for later in the year

Not recommended unless you don't want to sleep !

  • 1 of 5

Position of the property ok, property itself spacious, beds ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. We were 7 adults and 1 child not one of the adults slept well the mattresses were old, springs moved every time you did and you felt it. You need at least some sleep when you go away. I would not recommend this property unless you never intended to get any sleep. The weekend was a Xmas gift to each other and to be honest we all couldn't wait to go home would have likely left earlier but we didn't want to let each other down considering a Xmas gift. So tired need another break, to get some sleep. All of us are shattered. Not recommended.

Owner's Response: Dear Janice, I am very sorry you found the mattresses at our cottage to be so unsatisfactory. This is not something that we have previously been made aware of by other guests of recent weeks (indeed 2 sets of guests who have stayed in the past few weeks have rebooked), or noticed ourselves when we last stayed, however we take such a complaint very seriously. I have since contacted other recent guests to ask for their feedback and we will also have a look at them this weekend whilst we are there. We aim to provide the best facilities and service possible at a competitive price and continually replace items when required, so will do so in this case if required.

Had a lovely time, just what we all needed

  • 5 of 5

The accommodation was more than we had expected. Carolyn made us feel so welcome from the start, the barn was warm and prepared with extra towels available to use with the hot tub I booked.

When I couldn't work the tv on the first night Carolyn popped round to rectify the problem dispite it being late.

We were away for a family break, various ages but there was something for everyone to enjoy at the barn.

We'll definitely be back later in the year.

Clean, tidy, spacious.

  • 5 of 5

I wanted a week away from it all to write. This cottage was an excellent choice. It was clean, tidy, spacious and well furnished. It was below freezing outside when I arrived and the owner had made sure that the heating was turned on early so the cottage was warm and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped. I didn't go out much but there were plentiful tourist guides and many places to visit. The views were lovely too. I would recommend this cottage and hope to return this year.

A lovely family holiday

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed are stay at Watermill cottage with the family and grandparents, lovely spacious cottage with beautiful views. We easpically enjoyed playing board games around the table after a lovely family meal or a barbecue in front of the property. Only 5 minute drive to a big retail park and so many lovely town to visit. Alison was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend watermill cottage.

Anglesey has over 650 miles of footpaths which enable you to discover and explore the 120 miles of coastline, including sandy beaches and rocky headland. Much of this coastline is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or owned by the National Trust, it's hardly surprising then that 25 per cent of the award-winning beaches in Wales are on Anglesey.

You'll find a whole host of sea related activities to enjoy, there's sailing, sea fishing, Kite and windsurfing and canoeing. For those of you who are a little less 'thrill-seeking' the miles of wonderful footpaths will enable you to discover the vast variety of wildlife which thrives on the island, especially the bird population, whilst fantastic views of the distant Snowdonian mountains can be seen at some points. The property makes for an ideal base from which to explore all this and more.

Other Activities: Snowdonia national park approximately 30 mins drive

Anglesey named the second best place within the UK to go on holiday:-
