About Phil and Fran Turner
Originally from just outside Sheffield, Phil has worked most of his life in the construction industry, originally as a Carpenter/Joiner but before moving to France in construction management. Fran was born in Northern Ireland but as a teenager left to live in Australia returning to the UK to make her home in England, moving to Lincolnshire, where she met Phil after being introduced by a mutual friend and business colleague of Phil's, they moved to France in 2004
Phil and Fran Turner purchased this Villa in 2003
Why Phil and Fran Turner chose Tournissan
When we bought the field it was the first place we visited, in April 2003 in the middle was a white horse ( who we later learnt was named Duncan ) we visited numerous other building sites and renovation projects but we had a good feel about the plot and were drawn back and bought in the Autumn of that year, the rest as they say is History.
What makes this Villa unique
Although we say we bought the house in 2003, actually we bought a field, We built the house over a three year period on a rolling design basis, the internal layout changed as the construction developed. So the house today is a design that embraces our style of living, that is out door cooking and catering from May to October. The recently added pool finished off what we feel is the perfect home.

Fabulous house and pool
Built by the owners with loving care and attention to detail, this is an excellent property with a magnificent swimming pool. The salt pool is fantastic, the water is soft and clear, and the owner goes to great lengths to maintain it beautifully. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly require, and Phil and Fran were excellent hosts, whose main concern was to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday.
The house fully lived up to expectations and fully matched the descriptions that attracted us to it in the first place, and had the best barbecue we have ever had in France!
We would certainly recommend Les Lauriers-roses to our friends.

A beautiful property and a good location
There is everything you need: a spacious house, a clean pool (Phil cleans it in the early hours!), a large kitchenequipment, ... When there is a problem or questions of any kind, the owners are nearby. The location is also interesting: 40 km from the sea and plenty of villages to visit, ... We had an amazing vacation!
thanks so much we were really glad to have you stay, we look forward to seeing you again some day

Corbierre Rural Idyll
We found it to be a lovely villa with all the comforts of home, modern kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable and welcoming. There was a chance to swim or relax by the pool in the attractive garden, and to enjoy meals and barbecues outside in the evenings. Not forgetting several glasses of some of the local wines!
There are plenty of walks in the countryside around the house, either gentle or more challenging, well marked with stunning views of the vineyards and the distant Pyrenees. A few trips to other picturesque local villages were interesting, and we liked the way the houses in the South of France have such character The villa is within easy reach of Carcassonne, Narbonne and the Mediterranean towards Perpignan, and we even managed a trip into Spain as a bonus, fairly close by car.
The owners, Phil and Fran, were very welcoming and helped with advice and suggestions about all the local sights and restaurants to eat at (there is a very good one within walking distance in the village itself) - and having lived there for 13 years they know a lot about the local food and wine and are full of enthusiasm for the whole culture.
Thank you for your great review, we are glad you enjoyed your time in the house, please tell your friends, look forward to seeing you again,

Wonderfull 3 weeks at Les Lauriers in Tournissan
We spent beautyfull holidays in a very clean and perfect house with tastefull equipment. The pool with saltwater was very pleasant and carefully well-looked-after. The house is situated in a calm region of Tournissan, a little romantic village. The village has a very good restaurant (La petite Auberge). Last but not least the owners are very friendly and helpful. We will come back next year.
We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday, we look forward to seeing you next year, We have to say you were the perfect guests leaving our house in an immaculate condition, once again thank you.
