Even better than the pictures

  • 5 of 5

We were surprised to drive up to the very large stone "fortress" and realize that the whole home was ours for the week. It is huge.

Some of our favorite things:

-The swimming pool was the perfect temp and our grown children used it every single day.

-The three bedrooms were almost exactly the same so no problems figuring out who would stay where.

-The immense tranquility and beauty of the home built in the 1600's was unlike anything I've ever stayed in.

-Top quality bathroom and kitchen features like huge walk in glass and stone showers with rain shower heads. Wonderful, fluffy, white towels and robes provided.

-Furnishngs were top notch and I'm a decor fanatic.

-The beds were very comfortable.

-So quite and peaceful to take walks down the country roads each morning among the apple orchards. It's a working farm and the sounds of the tractors doing their jobs nearby was reminiscent of my childhood.

-English was easily spoken.

*ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE:

-I wasn't used to not having AC in our bedroom to sleep at night so I messaged Matthias to ask if there were any fans. He promptly had three brand new and very nice fans delivered while we were away exploring during the day.

-I messaged a day before we were to arrive asking about someone buying a few groceries for us since we'd be jet lagged when we got there and the home is in the countryside, just a bit outside a small village . When we arrived Matthias' dad was there to greet us, show us all around the grand home and all of the items on our grocery list were already there and in the fridge ready and waiting! I highly suggest this as it's so nice to have someone who knows the area shop for you.

-One day I asked about salt and pepper and olive oil as I'd not thought to buy them and a person, a housekeeper, showed up within an hour with all three! Just in time for our meal we'd prepared in the beautiful kitchen. (Very responsive service.)

We enjoyed our stay so very much that we hope to book this home again next year to have more time to explore the wonderful little villages and towns so nearby.

It couldn't have been better.

Magnifique mas du XVIIème siècle au coeur du Lubéron

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful farmhouse and lovely stay in Provence!

  • 5 of 5

We were the very first guests to stay at this beautiful farmhouse, and we were treated so well by the owners. They were extremely accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. The house is beautifully and newly renovated. The enormous kitchen is a dream for chefs and was a wonderful gathering place for our entire family. Each bedroom is decorated with a unique style. The rooms are spacious and airy, and each come with its own bathroom which is a plus! The living area is also tastefully decorated and perfect for relaxing with the family or friends. But we especially enjoyed the courtyard and the pool. The pool is brand new and absolutely gorgeous. Our baby loved the water, and we enjoyed the pool every day of our stay. The courtyard looks like something out of a movie. I actually posted pictures and people were asking me what hotel or b&b it was! The big long wooden table is perfect for outdoor lunches and dinners, and in the evening, when you turn on the lights outside, it really does feel like you are staying at hotel given how beautiful the setting is. The owners paid a lot of attention to decorating and accommodating in every way so that the guests feel comfortable and relaxed and at home while they stay at this wonderful farmhouse. We would highly recommend this to our friends and family!
