Flayosc is known as the 'Première Porte du Haute Var' and is a typically perched village with its Monday Provençal market. From Flayosc explore the many other perched villages such as Tourtour also known as the 'Village in the Sky'. All have their shady streets, old wash houses or 'lavoirs' and beautiful walks through the Provençal countryside surrounded by olive trees and vines - try the superb local wines and delicious olive oil. There are two Roman bridges on the outskirts of Flayosc giving a superb focus to wonderful walks in the countryside amongst olive groves and vineyards giving more evidence of the wealth of history in the area. Flayosc is also ideally placed half way between the Mediterranean coast and the Gorges du Verdon also known as Europe's Grand Canyon.
