PUNTA DEL CAPO
Experience the good life on the beautiful Sorrento coast
2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
Punta del Capo is a ground floor apartment in Sorrento surrounded by lovely gardens and overlooking the sea.
The private terraces offer a choice of dining tables for four, ensuring you will always find a sunny spot to enjoy a meal with friends or simply to relax. With olive trees providing shade and plants and flowers spilling from terracotta planters, the gardens of Punta del Capo will provide a space to escape from everyday life.
The apartment is light and spacious, decorated in white throughout. Splashes of colour are provided through bright patterned tiling and soft furnishings. There are also tongue-in-cheek individual pieces to make you smile, such as a cutlery-inspired light fitting.
The open plan living area has a comfortable sofa and television. The kitchen is tucked behind a breakfast bar, with stools for casual mealtimes, and there is also a third dining table for four. You’ll find everything you need to sample the delicious local fare, including a four burner gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster. An ironing board is available.
There are air conditioning and heating units, plus an internet Wifi connection.
A corridor leads to the two double bedrooms, decorated in a relaxed contemporary style and enjoying beautiful views of the sea and Capri Island. Both have ample storage for clothing and other belongings.
The bathroom has everything you will need with walk-in shower enclosure, wash basin, toilet, bidet and hairdryer.
A car is recommended for your stay at Punta del Capo and a private parking space is provided. There is a newsagent, grocery store and post office within walking distance.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. You are just a short distance from the Bagni della Regina Giovanna, or Queen Joan’s Baths. This beautiful rocky beach and hidden pool is only reachable by foot (access may be difficult for children) and is much less crowded than other Sorrento beaches as a result. The natural swimming pool is accessed via the sea through a stunning stone archway carved by the waves. During the 1st century BC there was a majestic Roman seaside villa in this area and today it is still possible to visit the ruins.
Like the Romans in years gone by, come to Punta del Capo for a relaxing and memorable break in the beautiful surroundings of Sorrento.
Please note, there will be a final cleaning charge of € 50 added to the rental period at time of the booking.
All guests have complimentary access to the pool, cafe/bar and restaurant at Gocce di Capri - Hotel & Serviced Residence (bookings required).
During the balmy summer months from June to September, the resort comes to life from 5-9pm with a DJ lounge playing a range of genres from chillout, funk, deep house to retro classics from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
With one of the most superb views in the world, Gocce di Capri is the perfect spot to sip on a spritz, whilst gazing out to Capri Island and taking in the Mediterranean sunset !!
Pick-up/drop-off from your holiday home can also be arranged.
From 1 April to 31 October the Municipal Council of Sorrento has instituted a mandatory tourist tax on all temporary residents. A tourist tax of € 3.00 per person per night (for guests 18 years and over) for a maximum stay of 7 nights must be added to the total amount of the stay and must be paid in cash on arrival.

The place is lovely; the manager was very nice. We only recommend to update the kitchen equipment: coffee maker didn't work; microwave oven didn't have the glass tray missing; there was no soap dish, no towel papers, no napkins; otherwise, living room, bedrooms and bathroom were very confortable.
Good location, spacious and clean. Walk to Roman ruins and a view of Capri.
There was no bath soap or shampoo (bring your own). Also no dish soap in the kitchen which makes it difficult to wash dishes. Worst of all, NO corkscrew to open a bottle of wine, in an apartment in Italy!!! No tv reception. We brought our own wifi hotspot. Overall, the garden was lovely for evening picnics. It was quiet and clean. We enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it to others...just bring your soap and corkscrew!
