This well-appointed, spacious apartment offers panoramic bay, town and golf views and is available for short-term rentals. The spectacular sunny terrace extends to more than 35 square metres, with tables, loungers and chairs. Our stylishly-decorated, spacious living room includes free wifi internet, UK satellite TV, books, large library of DVD films and a stereo system. The separate kitchen is equipped to a good standard; a new washing machine and larger fridge-freezer are in the separate utility room. The romantic bedroom, furnished with an imported, top quality double bed and plenty of storage enjoys an en-suite bathroom with bath and powerful shower. If you are travelling with an infant we can provide a cot and high chair. Enjoying two large pools, one used mostly by families and the other a peaceful, relaxing spot. Please check below that your dates are available and email me for a descriptive e-brochure.

The complex includes several short flights of steps. Coupled with the walk down to the beach and town, it is not ideal for people of reduced mobilty.

Activities: The beach offers all kinds of water sports, sailing and diving. Early September offers the superb Santa Ponsa carnival. The coastline is full of contrasts with many bays, coves and clear turquoise seas. It is an excellent base to discover the picturesque hilly pine clad south-west of the island, the rocky north coast, Deya, Valdemossa, historic Palma and many beautiful beaches. It is an excellent base for hiking and cycling: one of our favourite days out is to walk or horse-ride in the hills above nearby Calvia. Tennis is available at several local clubs. Children will enjoy the nearby attractions of Marineland, Western Water World and go-carting. In summer the entertainment quarter of Santa Ponsa offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, clubs and a very professional open-air stage show each night in the town square.

Golf: green fees and indoor swimming pool: Santa Ponsa has much to offer golfers. There are 3 attractive courses with a forth, Club de Poniente, only a few minutes away; these courses are of a very high standard. Golf 1, for example, is a par-72 course at 6,106 metres and costs about 75 euros a round. Whilst there are two swimming pools, more serious swimmers and winter guests will enjoy the brand new public indoor pool within five minutes walk. This state-of-the art installation holds a 25m pool with aerobics / gym section, and costs about €5 for a day pass.

Santa Ponsa is a 20-minute drive from the airport and is very easy to find, with good, fast roads all the way. There are plenty of taxis and the fare is about 46 euros. However, hiring a car undoubtedly adds to your enjoyment as there is so much to see around this lovely island. Car hire at the airport is inexpensive with new cars which can be booked ahead. I am happy to recommend excellent car-hire companies and will provide simple directions for driving from the airport. NB: Keys are available whatever time you arrive. The apartment 'front' door is not shared with any other apartment and leads directly into the development.

About Casa Jaime

I have lived here for eight years on a rural finca on the outskirts of the capital city Palma. A Suffolk man, I appreciate the wide variety of topography the island has to offer.

Why Casa Jaime chose Calvia

I am very fond of Santa Ponsa. I bought Casa Jaime primarily for the location and the great views from the huge sunny terrace over the town and bay. My housekeeper and I do my best to keep in good order: inevitably, sometimes small things go wrong but can usually be resolved within a few hours. I would describe the apartment as mid-range, comfortable, very well-equipped and better and larger than most similar accommodation but not in the super-luxury bracket, for which you will pay considerably more. Many of my guests enjoy themselves so much that they return and it is a tad like greeting old friends.

What makes this apartment unique

This is a small well-maintained residential complex with two marvellous communal swimmimg pools. It is generally fairly peaceful and laid-back, with many owners commuting into Palma. In summer the larger pool gets quite busy but the smaller one remains a quiet spot to read a book.

Situated in an established residential area offering panoramic views over the attractive bay of Santa Ponsa, golf courses and lovely countryside which forms the national park. Santa Ponsa is a delightful, safe resort. The white sandy beaches and safe shallow waters appeal to all ages: deck chairs, sun shades, beach bars and cafes add to the appeal - as do the parrots living in the pine trees to one side of the beach. The apartment is a 10 minute stroll down to the beach, bars, shops and supermarkets It's ideally situated for day trips to Marineland, the Water Parks, go-karting and for exploration of the rest of this delightful island. Restaurants in the area vary from budget family eating to 5* gourmet. There are three golf courses, a marina and a scuba-diving school. Cosmopolitan Palma with its cathedral, harbour, historic old town, superb shopping, wide variety of restaurants and sophisticated night-life is less than 15 minutes by car or taxi.

This apartment is delightful for a couple but should you wish to bring an infant with you a cot and highchair are available. There are ample sun loungers and reed umbrellas round each of the pools and as this is a private development no reserving of the sun beds! The upper pool tends to be a peaceful place to read a book. Please note that because of their unique layout, the communal gardens include small flights of steps but no disabled ramps. Coupled with a fair walk up the hill from the beach, this is really not suitable for people of impaired mobility unless you have a car. The development is, however, very secure, with gated access, so elderly people with average mobility will feel comfortable. Smoking: to comply with our insurance we respectfully request our guests not to smoke in the apartment. Sorry about this but you can, of course, puff away on the terrace. Thank you.

Great balcony and view

Clean, comfortable property with a great balcony, which we spent most of our time on when on the property. Clean, quiet adult pool as well as good family pools. Layout of facilities in the appartment s little strange (having to go through bedroom to fridge/freezer) but not a major problem. Could do with larger table near property end of balcony and better lighting outside for al fresco evening meals. Owner was very accommodating and quick to respond when our kettle broke. Sadly dishwasher wasn't working due to previous tenant and delay in getting part needed, again not a major problem. The beach at Santa Ponsa was very nice but felt too many restaurants focused on tourists (Scottish bar etc) rather than typical Mallorcan restaurants. Lovely beaches at Peguera and Camp de Mar, close by. We travelled around the island by car a lot and really enjoyed visiting Es Trenc beach, Pollenca, Soller and Palma. Deia, in the mountains a was lovely too although a bit busy. Breathtaking views along the west coast drive from Port Soller to Andraxt.

Peaceful holiday haven

This was our third visit to this apartment and as always we had a lovely relaxing stay.The apartment is well furnished and has everything you could possibly need to make it a home from home.We love the peace and tranquillity we get from staying here, there is a wonderful large sun terrace to relax and sunbathe on which has a lovely cooling breeze and unrivalled views of Santa Ponsa bay.We have always found Grahame the owner to be very obliging and helpful on all of our stays, going out of his way to make our stays more enjoyable.We have had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and consider him to be a friend ,we look forward to our next stay

Great apartment and a very friendly host

Graeme, first of all, helped us while searching the apartment at last seconds. Not only that - he was very friendly throughout the stay and before that, offered us an opportunity to stay at his ranch before our late flight and were quick to answer any questions. The apartment is spacious, has everything you need and I would even say that photos look worse - apartment has a superb panoramic look, a very big terrace and a lot of space for 2 people. Santa Ponca is a great and fun city, has a great beach and me with my girlfriend felt like home staying here, definitely recommended.

Very nice stay, lovelly views

I travelled to Mallorca on my own as way of surprising my family who were already booked in a hotel. I very much enjoyed my stay in Casa Jaimie which had stunning views across the bay and the town of Santa Ponsa from the very large sun terrace, the flat itself has a Spanish feel about it with traditional furnishings, to be honest it has everything you need British TV channels, washing machine huge fridge freezer, full kitchen, a real wee home from home really, would stay again no problem

I guess the architecture is typically Spanish and we strive to maintain the furnishings to a high standard. I really enjoyed my stay here

In many ways the apartment is better than it looks in the photos. The view from the terrace is magnificent, the apartment complex quiet, relaxed and discrete. Easy to park, well located to enjoy both beaches. I think Santa Ponsa is one of the best places on the island for vacation, good facilities, not too manic, not far from Palma. Grahame had everything ready to facilitate my arrival and stay. The directions and information he sent me were very helpful, the apartment was clean as a whistle and had all that I needed. I really enjoyed my stay here, without a doubt I would stay here again.

Where do I start! We holiday in Mallorca every year and wanted a change from our normal place. We had the feeling that nothing could live up to what we were used to from our previous favourite spot but boy were we wrong. The apartment was everything described on the website...and more.

We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was and exceptionally comfortable. The place was very clean and well maintained - one of my biggest bugbears from some places! The view all day long from the sunny private terrace was so pretty we quite easily lost many hours just sat there enjoying it (with some delicious tapas and wine of course). Great kitchen facilities as well.

The swimming pool was perfect and uncrowded, and being in quite a tranquil location, this all added to the overall relaxing feeling of the place. Plenty of parking space as well which is a rare thing in Mallorca!

One of the main highlights was how helpful and responsive the owners were, we always felt that are needs were dealt with very quickly....if we even had any at all! Their very friendly attitude helped make our already great holiday into an unforgettable one. We will definitely be back here at our new favourite next year.

Owner's Response: Sam and John were wonderful guests: charming, courteous and considerate. Practical, too: the internet connection played up one day but after a brief phone call savvy Sam sorted it out in the blink of an eye. They left the apartment immaculate and also, very kindly, a decent bottle of Rioja for my housekeeper. We really look forward to welcoming them again next year.
