There are many walks, as well as cycling up and down the valley, and water sports can be found at Carsington Water. Within easy reach are the traditional market towns of Ashbourne, Wirksworth, Bakewell and the grand Chatsworth House, not to mention Haddon Hall and Matlock Bath, with its spectacular cable cars. The restored Ecclesbourne Valley Railway and the renowned Crich Tramway Museum are a must for enthusiasts. Don’t leave without a visit to the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site in Cromford.
