|Minimum Stay||1 - 4 nights|
St Andrew’s Chapel is one of the premium properties within a Benedictine Monastery know as The Highland Club. Conveniently located near the spa and swimming pool, it is exceptional in every way. This spacious 2 bedroom property has an abundance of original features, in particular beautiful stained glass windows depicting Scottish Saints and large stone arches that have been thoughtfully incorporated into the room design. The majestic rib vaulted ceiling and large ornate stone mullioned windows give a feeling of spaciousness and presence. The kitchen is stylish and well appointed with a large island and beautiful dining area.
The bedrooms are located on the first floor, accessed from the hall. The large galleried master bedroom with en-suite bathroom projects over the living area, allowing views of the stained glass windows and changing light throughout the day whilst still affording privacy. There is a twin bedroom on this level, which has access to a shower room on the ground floor. All rooms have been beautifully designed and tastefully furnished with great attention to detail.
This unique and beautifully furnished 2 bed apartment was formerly St Andrew's Chapel. Designed by Pugin the Chapel has elaborate gothic features, this differs from the main Abbey Church which was designed in Norman style during a later period.
The Highland Club itself is set in 20 acres of private gardens on the shores of Loch Ness. In the heart of the Highlands, this sympathetic conversion is an ideal base for exploring all that Scotland has to offer.
A Welcome Hamper is provided for 7 night stays and a small Welcome Pack for short breaks. Our property manager will meet you on arrival and show you to your accommodation. As a guest you will have access to all The Highland Club has to offer.

Very pleasant stay. Accomodition was fantastic. My family really loved the ancient buidlings and especially the billard room and the outdoor chess game.
This was my first vacation I deeply regretted that we had to go home to Germany again.
The location and setting are phenomenal. Overall the stay was comfortable and we appreciated the games that were available however there were a few small things that were not ideal. The first is that we were only provided with 2 towels despite having 4 people in the property. Also, there were no toiletries whatsoever in the master ensuite, including hand soap! And a small niggle but one that affected me was the odour, it had a distinct smell of potpourri and for me it was too overbearing. Perhaps they were trying to compensate for the smell of the smoke from the pool. The rest of my family didn't seem to mind so the key take away is if you are sensitive to smells, this might not be the place for you.
This is a real gem, really well looked after and well presented. It is a real pleasure to go to a property and the pictures don't do it justice, the decor is smart and modern but keeps the essence of the chapel which makes the place so special. The pool/sauna/steam room is great to warm up after a long walk around the loch. Beautiful setting and so lovely to have access to the loch - less then 1 minute walk from the front door. We would definitely recommend a trip.
The Highland Club is situated within 2 minutes walk from the centre of Fort Augustus. Amenities include a number of local pubs/restaurants, local supermarket and a variety of gift shops. There is a 9 hole golf course, Tourist Information Centre and many local attractions and beautiful walks without the need to drive if you prefer.
The location allows traffic free access to The Nevis Range ski area during the winter months and year round access to the Highlands and all the local outdoor/adventure sports. The beautiful beaches of the West Coast of Scotland can be found about an hour away with easy access to Isle of Skye across the new bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. To the East there are several beaches in the Dornoch/Black Isle area. Whisky Distilleries are in all directions, while for the children, the Hogwarts Express is a train that runs along the valley where Harry Potter was filmed. The nearby ruins of Urquhart Castle, Cawdor Castle and the world famous Eilean Donan Castle are all within an hour's drive. Not forgetting the Loch Ness Visitor's Centre and the monster itself....
Located 45 minutes drive from Inverness in the pretty village of Fort Augustus.
