Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, we bought Chez Charolais to enjoy the warmer summers and adventure activities the area has to offer. We all love canoeing, climbing and long family cycle rides. Our 3 children learned to swim at Chez Charolais and they all love the BBQs, fresh croissants and chocolat chaud for petit-dejeuner!
Joanne Nicholson purchased this barn in 2004
Chez Charolais is a central place in Europe and the house is located within the Morvan National Park where the scenery is exceptional; a little piece of heaven in this traditional French region. Day trips are plentiful and varied, however, if you simply wish to relax and switch off from the stresses of daily life, this is the place for you.
Exceptional scenery with private heated pool. Despite the numerous local activities from art to adventure, we find that most families simply stay at Chez Charolais to enjoy some quality family time in the charming alfresco eating area under the vines.
Quiet location with short drive to nearest town. Good facilities, not a huge amount for young children to do, so bring your own toys. Lovely area, had a good relaxing holiday.
