Beautifully furnished townhouse, walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach

This beautiful townhouse is situated on the prestigious 5 star award winning Marina de Lagos which is the first Marina in the Iberian peninsula to achieve such a level. This property has a prime position on the Marina and is located within a secure gated community. It has direct access to the swimming pool having the entrance door opening out onto the pool area. It also has a large terrace accessed through sliding doors from the lounge, which overlooks the picturesque lake.

The ground floor consists of a large spacious lounge, well equipped kitchen including hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave there is a breakfast bar through to the lounge. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor. All windows & doors are fitted with shutters and mosquito netting. Sliding doors lead from the lounge onto the large terrace which has modern outdoor furniture comprising of table, chairs and sun loungers. There is an open plan staircase which leads from the lounge to the first floor. The master double bedroom has sliding doors leading onto the first floor balcony. The bedroom is spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and a full en-suite bathroom.

The other 2 bedrooms have twin beds, also with plenty of wardrobe space. There is a separate bathroom with shower which serves the twin bedrooms.

The property is equipped with it´s own personal Wifi.

The TV has the standard Portuguese channels.

However for a charge of €2 per day there is an additional option of a TV wifi box which can provide UK channels BBC1, BBC2,ITV, CH4 and a selection of Sky films, sports and kids channels.

There is a private parking space in the garage directly under the property with electrically operated doors.

Great house. Enormous terrace. Lovely to have a private entrance onto the pool.

We had great weather and when the wind came up in the afternoon part of the terrace was sheltered. It was quiet as we were early in the season. Easy walk to town and also to Pingo Doce. We could dip in the pool and then lie out on our own terrace. We would definitely rent this house again.

Fantastic Familiy Holiday!

We are a family of 5 with 2 boys and a girl so this property was perfect for us. The boys could share a room and our daughter had her own space. With the master room having an en-suite we also had our own privacy. The duplex was a good size over two floors. It is fully air-conditioned (master, both bedrooms and lounge). Everything was clean and in good working order. As described the apartment opens onto the pool area so it is perfect for lazy days around the pool. The pool was clean, albeit a little chilly first thing in the morning. The apartment was in a lovely location, no need for a car as everything was within easy walking distance. Beach was about 20 - 25 minutes, marina bars and restaurants about 5 minutes, and you're in the hustle and bustle of Lagos town centre in 15 - 20 minutes. The town has plenty of choices to eat - even for two vegans in the family! The beaches are beautiful - long sandy beaches or beaches with caves for exploring. We went kayaking in the caves which was fun. We took a coach trip to Slide and Splash waterpark, which is not a very big park but kept us entertained for the day. We bought our tickets from the supermarket opposite. This is a good size supermarket which has everything we needed for lunches, breakfast, snacks etc.

The cleaner comes twice a week, which was nice for fresh towels.

The manager was lovely, very helpful and provided great service, she was there to meet us on the first day as arranged and she was a great help explaining to the driver how to find the property.

The only small criticism is there are not enough sunbeds around the pool if it is busy - however, the owner has left a couple of extra beds in the villa - maybe two more would be useful, but that being said the pool has plenty of grass areas which can be used for towels, I wouldn't let this deter me from going again or highly recommending this villa - but just something to be aware of. Also check if beach towels will be provided, we had to buy beach towels for the first week - but the cleaner then left some beach towels for the second week.

So overall this is a perfect location for a family holiday, and I would certainly recommend this property and would certainly stay again if returning to this area.

Great first family holiday!

We all had a brilliant holiday and we couldn't have asked for a nicer apartment.

Very spacious throughout, great family area downstairs, the master bedroom is large & the ensuite was an added bonus.

With 2 further twin bedrooms, another bathroom plus a toilet downstairs too we certainly weren't short of space.

The balcony off the living area is a generous size, there are also 2 sun loungers there for sun worshippers, it's a real sun trap.

The pool is great, our 2 & 4 yr old loved the kids pool, very shallow but hours of fun spend splashing around & soaking us with buckets of water! The main pool is large & there are plenty sun loungers around it.

Just a few minutes walk from the complex is a play park for toddlers, this is next to the Marina which has a good variety of resaurants, cafes & bars, I sampled a few cocktails when I was there.

The beach is close by too!

I'd highly recommend the apartment and the location, were booked in for next summer, can't wait!

First family holiday, we are going back!

The apartment had everything you could wish for. All rooms a good size. Sun terrace out back a lovely escape. Pool on your doorstep. Beach within walking distance. Supermarket 2 minutes away. Bars and restaurants within 5 min walk. It was our first family holiday destination, and it will be our second. Overall 10/10 for apartment/location and family fun.

Can't beat it for a family holiday!

We are lucky enough to have stayed at Villa Moradia a few times, and love it. As in- really, really love it, so actually feel that writing a review might be a bad idea, as it let's you into our holiday secret.... But.... It's BRILLIANT. And I suppose it's nice to share... so...

We're a non-driving family of six - and the location is completely and utterly fantastic. An easy walk to the huge (and gorgeous, warm-oceaned) beach, the beautiful old town and the supermarket, for picnic supplies. There's a whole host of fantastic cafes, bars and tavernas a mere stroll away (and along the marina! even better!) There's a huge market fish, selling fruit and vegetables across the bridge and the train station -for adventures further afield- is just five minutes walk, which also allows for straightforward airport journeys. There are speedboat dolphin tours, longer day cruises and a wee toy train to help you explore in a leisurely fashion. And there's a fantastic wee museum in town for kids on a rainy day, as well as the historic sites and the hidden beaches.

The property itself is all you could want, and a wee bit more. The pool is literally on the doorstep and although unheated, the temperatures in Lagos, even in October, means our children have to be dragged from the water for dinner! The rooms are spacious, clean and airy, with balconies for all important evening cocktails (mine's a mojito, thank you very much). Everything you might need is provided- a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, multiple bathrooms, TV and even wifi if you can't bear to be away from news back home. Which I think is weird, especially when I have a mojito in one hand and a pasteis de nata in the other.

So, in short, this is one tiptop, acers holiday apartment. And I'm mighty envious of anyone booking...

Stunning, Amazing, brilliant!!!

Beautiful townhouse in a fantastic location. My wife and I visited twice in 2011 and 2012 with our young children and had a wonderful time. The house is delightfully decorated and has all the mod cons you could ever need. Huge swimming pool right outside the front door with lots of sun beds. Lagos is stunning, great beaches, lovely marina and an amazing array of restaurants to chose from. Lynda's restaurant on the beach is a must and a cheeky passion fruit margarita goes down perfectly whilst watching the sun set! The Duncan family

Lagos is one of the finest and most popular resort towns situated on a stunning coastline with wide golden beaches, jagged cliffs and crystal clear waters. Situated on the south western point of the Algarve this area makes for fantastic holiday destination and is suited for a range of tourist types, i.e.young couples, families or the more mature visitor. The town itself has all the facilities expected from a popular tourist destination. There are numerous restaurants for all tastes, whether Portuguese or international cuisine and the choice of wines are vast. The old town is a maze of narrow cobbled stone streets lined with souvenir shops, snack bars and there is always some kind of street activity to animate tourists during the wonderful summer evenings. There are also some very old churches & monuments and a very interesting museum tucked away in the old St. Antonio Church.

For sports enthusiasts, there are several golf courses, riding and water sports which combine with the wonderful climate to provide the ideal atmosphere for practicing your favorite pastime.

The beautiful Marina, with its harbour front lined with restaurants, shops, bars and snack bars, is just across the river to the town centre and can be accessed by crossing the metal footbridge.

Here one can organise boat trips to the grottos or to seek the dolphins as well as fishing trips.
