Excellent apartment!

We stayed here for 4 nights from June 29-July 3, 2017. The apartment was exactly as in the description and pictures. It was lovely and comfortable, had everything we needed! It was conveniently located near the station as well as shopping.

We loved visiting London from Canada and would recommend this apartment to anyone!

Home Away From Home

This is very updated and well appointed property complete with all the essentials for a long and comfortable stay. Coming back to the flat after a day of visiting with family of doing a day trip felt like we had arrived back at our "home away from home". The living space is quite comfortable and so much better than having to squeeze past each other in cramped hotel quarters. Coordinating with Gary in advance was a breeze and upon arrival we were graciously greeted by Irina who provided us with the keys and an orientation to the flat and the amenities. She also offered to be available by phone in the event we had any questions or needs relating to the property during our stay.

The train station is very close and easily walkable as is proximity to groceries and shopping. Being so close to markets we were able to acquire breakfast items and make use of the highly efficient electric kettle and french press for leisurely breakfasts as well as pick up happy hour provisions of wine, fresh fruit and some outstanding cheeses.

This will definitely be our "go to" next time we return to Croydon.

Bonito y luminoso apartamento en Croydon.

Nuestra estancia en el apartamento fue muy agradable. Tuvimos la bienvenida cordial de Gary, quien nos explicó las principales cuestiones prácticas del apartamento. Responde perfectamente a las fotografías e información de home away. Estaba muy limpio y bien decorado, y lo mejor de todo sus vistas y luminosidad. Muy buenas comunicaciones con el centro de Londres, si bien nosotros siempre usamos el tren para llegar hasta allí, cuya estación se encuentra a tan solo cinco minutos a pie. Hay muy buena frecuencia de trenes. Cerca de multitud de sitios para comprar comida y también encontrar un buen número de supermercados. A diez minutos a pie de varios cajeros. Nos quedamos con las ganas de conocer mejor este distrito de Londres, el cual parecía ser bastante interesante. Hubiera estado bien haberle dedicado un día al menos. En definitiva, respondió con creces a nuestras expectativas, y a la zona se la ve con muy buena proyección urbanística.

Could not have been better

We just spent two weeks at Gary's property at Cross Rd Croydon and as I said it could not have been better. We arrived on a Sunday and were met at the door, given a walk around and settled in. We were a group of four so two of us used the bedroom and the others used the sofa/bed in the living room. I had had my doubts about the bathroom as the photos do not show it very clearly, but it is completely private in the hallway between the bedroom and the living room. It has a heated towel rack and the whole apartment has a very good air conditioning system (we come from a warmer climate). Not having to go to the laundromat is a big asset (washer/drier worked perfect) and the well equipped kitchen enabled us to do some meals at home and save some money. The TV and internet worked great, lots of power outlets and all the cables to connect devices to the TV and modem. We brought our own IPTV box and was able to watch all our favourite programs and films.

There is a great fish and chip shop just 2 minutes up the road (takeaway not a sit down, and they even had my favourite rock eel at a very reasonable price) and a couple of minutes more there is a Cooperative which has just about everything you need. We mainly used the railway, coming back in the evening at East Croydon station there is a Sainsbury's which closes at 11.00pm so we were able to pick up milk, juice etc and from there it's 5 minutes walk to the apartment. A short bus ride get's you to the Croydon Flyover where there is an open air street market, a poundland, a 99p and a Lidl.... and many more.

Last year we stayed in the Croydon area, paid more for a small cramped and noisy apartment... this was a real find and have already recommended it to friends and family. Hopefully we will be back again next year. Thank you Gary for a really enjoyable holiday.

Tolle Tage in London

Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter, problemlose Abwicklung, hat alles super geklappt (Anreise, Parkausweis, Anfragen, Abreise).

Wohnung ist genau wie beschrieben, sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und alles sehr sauber.

Die Lage ist bestens um London zu erkunden. 5 Minuten zur National-Rail-Station und dann alle paar Minuten direkt nach London Victoria oder Tower Bridge.

Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mehrere in der Nähe, u.a. ein Sainsbury Local direkt gegenüber der Bahnstation.

Wir hatten tolle Tage in London bzw. Croydon und würden die Wohnung von Gary jederzeit wieder buchen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

PS: Eine Schneidebrett in der Küche wäre super :)

Super Appartment mit guter Bahnanbindung nach London

Die Anfahrt von Süden her war sehr einfach. Wir fanden eine neuwertige und moderne Wohnung vor, die genau den Bildern entsprach. Schlüsselübergabe war völlig unproblematisch. Der Vermieter war sehr nett. Der Bahnhof East Croydon lag nur 5Min. entfernt. In 19 Minuten waren wir an der Victoria Station oder London Bridge. Wir hatten 4 tolle Tage.
