About the property

House on the beach . Stunning sunset views, hot tub, sauna, wifi, SKY.

Our holiday home is called Clach Mhor which is gaelic for Big Rock, one of which is situated in the garden and makes an attractive focal point, the other is situated in the middle of the Irish Sea- called Ailsa Craig and it offers a stunning sun set view.

The views from Clach Mhor really are amazing- the sunset photos show the view of various sunsets. The sky puts on a different magnificent display every night to enjoy with a drink!

The sea views can be enjoyed from most rooms and from 3 different decks in the garden behind the house and another seating areas in front of the house. The view changes by the minute allowing you to enjoy watching the seals, the sunset, fishing boats or birds diving for their dinner.

The house actually sits on the beach with nothing between it and the vast blue Irish sea. It is situated just outside a tiny village called Lendalfoot, in a very quiet position.

There are two lounges, one on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the sea. This lounge is so close to the sea that it actually feels like being on a boat without any sea-sickness! The lounge has a bar area with large wine fridge for that cold glass of chardonay or gin and tonic while watching the sunset. If you ever get bored of the view there is a 3D television with a blue-ray player and a selection of DVDs.

The second lounge is on the ground floor and is very cosy with a log stove. It also has a large television with a games console and a tiny view of the sea from a tiny window. There are also excellent views of the garden from large picture windows.

We have SKY, SKY movies, NETFLIX, NOWTV and with notice can provide SKY Sports free of charge. There is excellent fast btinteret with unlimited downloads.

The kitchen/dining room is very well equipped with everything you could need. fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, microwave, nespresso coffee machine and so on. Dual aspect windows give you a lovely sea view to the back and a garden view to the rear. The kitchen has a dining table for 8/10 and there is also small additional study area just off the kitchen. Overlooking the sea with large patio doors this cosy neuk is just perfect for relaxing with a good book.

The utility room offers a washing machine and tumble dryer and is a convenient place to dry any wet boots or coats.

We sleep 8 adults and 2 extra children. There are 2 king-size bedrooms both with sea views of course! One has an en suite shower room and the other is adjacent to the family bathroom. One is upstairs and one downstairs. There is also a triple room with an extra bed for a child only. This room overlooks the garden.

There is also a detached studio in the garden with an infrared sauna in a separate room and a studio bed sitting area with double bed, television and Lshaped lounge seating. Its all on the one level, is heated and has the most wonderful sea views.

The house offers extensive seaview gardens with 3 decked areas, one for dining with a BBQ, another for lounging and a third for quiet naps or reading a book.

Stay at Clach Mohr and be lulled asleep by the noise of the waves, watch the sun set over the sea from the deck or the balcony. Or for an extra touch of luxury have a glass of bubbly in what is probably one of the best located hot tubs ever!

The Ayrshire Coast, known as the Scottish Riveria for its wonderful climate, is a wonderful place to enjoy a holiday or a quiet few days away with everything from castles to theme parks within an easy drive.

The house is ideal for a large family, extended family or 2 families to enjoy the area.

Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for four nights in April. Two families of three. The house is full of character and well stocked with all you could need. We had plenty of space and fell in love with the top lounge area! Stunning views of the sea and so peaceful. That's before you get out into the gardens, beach and hot tub...no better place to be with a glass of Prosecco! Beautiful place and we were so sad to leave. I'd recommend to anyone!

Propriété bien équipée, situation excellente et vue imprenanble sur mer et Ailsa Craig

  • 5 of 5
