One bedroom apartment surrounded by palms and beautiful foliage and flowers

It is Crop over Time!!!

The Palms is 5km and 9 minutes drive to the Spring Garden Highway. Why is that important? Kadooment! A national festival of Barbados. It is more than a carnival. The crop over bands parade culminates on the Spring Garden Highway where there is a grand street party. Lots of music and lots of local food. You can step off the highway and immediately you are on Brandons beach! A long, white stretch of sandy beach. Local transportation from the Palms will take you to the highway.

The Palms is a private property, located in a suburban neighbourhood, 25 minutes away from the Grantley Adams International Airport. It’s central location places the property a few minutes away from the major shopping areas on the island: 15 minutes from Bridgetown (the capital), 10 minutes from Holetown and 6 minutes from Warrens.

Warrens, the closest hub to the property, has become a ‘mini-capital’ on the island. In this area, guests can find several banks, the island’s largest supermarket, various shops and several restaurants.

It is also ideally situated for many of the major tourist attractions: a 20-minute drive to Harrison’s Cave, a 20-miute drive to the Barbados Museum or a 9-minute drive to Atlantis Submarines. Cricket enthusiasts can enjoy a game at the 3W cricket field at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus 5 minutes away or at Kensington Oval 9 minutes away.

The Palms is a short 6-minute drive from the west coast that is peppered with many beaches, all of which are open to the public. If so inclined, guests can feel free to take any of the 3 bus routes that operate 5 minutes away from the property, to take in the island as locals do.

The apartment is newly renovated and is part of a larger the property that has a mature mango and plum tree from which guests may enjoy, depending on the time of the year. The property also boasts lush gardens that are littered with many flowering plants and many palm trees, for which the property is named.

This ground floor apartment is a full one-bedroom apartment and accommodates two adults.

The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, glasses, cutlery, dishes, pots and cooking utensils, as well as a kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There are a refrigerator, countertop stove, built-in oven, microwave and a washing machine.

The combined living/dining space is outfitted with comfy sofa and flat screen smart TV with Netflix. The dining area has built in booth-style seating in a bay window, along with a glass top table and two chairs. This area boasts a ceiling fan, high ceilings and an overhead transom that allows guests to see the sky while sitting on the sofa.

The bedroom is air-conditioned with a double bed and two built-in side tables, each with its own lamp. There is also a ceiling fan and an en suite bathroom with glass shower. Several closet and full-length mirrors are provided in the bathroom. Bed linens and towels will also be provided.

I am a government employee and I grew up in a district not far away. I was educated at one of the popular schools in Barbados and I pursued my education at our university of the west Indies which is located 9 minutes away from the apartment. I am married with three daughters. One is still at school. I live in the north of the island

What makes this apartment unique

I practical built the property with no contractor and so I have a connection to it. I studied garden design and interior decorating and therefore I do those things my self which helps to cement my attachment to the property.I love palms and so the apartment is surrendered by a variety of palm s and the apartments are named after palms.
