About the property

A well equipped modern one bedroom apartment with a large outside terace. In a residential street next door to the Glass Museum and a 5 minute walk to all central amenities - bars,tapas bars, restaurants and museums. The apartment makes a great base to explore the city, spend a day on the beach or use the wide range of local transport nearby to explore the cities and villages of Andalucia.

The apartment has a large living/dining area/kitchen with doors out to the private terrace, a double bedroom also with doors to the terrace and a bathroom with full sized bath and a powerful shower.

The apartment is in a small residential block purpose built in 2010 in a residential district adjacent to the city centre. It is on a road which is for residents only so not full of traffic. A short walk takes you to museums, galleries, cafes bars and restaurants whilst the beach at La Malagueta is only a 15 minute walk away.

About Gary Hamilton

Hi there,

I am originally from Northern Ireland and after years living and working in London I decided to move to Andalucia and live here full time some 11 years ago after a lifelong love-affair with the country, its people and the culture. Together with my partner we have been running a successful 'Casa Rural' (a restored Andalus farmhouse) in the mountains just north of Malaga. In 2014 we decided to expand, buying a modern apartment in the centre of Malaga - a city we love. For us it´s a city which combines great restaurants and tapas bars, great museums and architecture and a fascinating history, all right beside the beautiful Mediterranean.

We spent a long term searching for the right apartment. We wanted an apartment which was close to all our favourite places in Malaga centre but not be on a street full of traffic or noisy at night. Private outside space was also a must as we wanted somewhere to sit outside and have breakfast or enjoy a last glass of wine before going to bed. This apartment mananged to fit all those criteria.

Lovely central apartment.

We had everything we needed, it was like home from home. The apartment was spotless & the bed is really comfy. There is a lovely terrace for having breakfast on or having a drink in the evening. The hosts were there to meet us even though we didn’t arrive until midnight, they also had a bottle of fizz chilling in the fridge for us, which was a nice touch. The location is close to all the shops, bars & restaurants as well as the museums. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the port which is lovely & on a Sunday there is a market down there with lots of great clothes stalls. My only gripe is the building work in the adjoining block, although if you’re there on a weekend the builders are off site.

Great apartment, on the edge of the old city and very close to the main attractions of Malaga

A wonderful apartment, and just a short walk to the center of things. Actually, the Glass and Crystal museum and a beautiful church are just a few doors away. The patio opens from both the bedroom and the living room, and the apartment has a lot of light from it. The kitchen is very well appointed. We enjoyed instantly brewed coffee in the Nespresso type machine whenever we wanted it. We used the laundry washing machine, toaster, stove, water boiler, all with ease. Your hosts provide a booklet with instructions and directions to great local places, put together by themselves. Above all, our hosts were responsive whenever needed, and gracious.

Clean, compact and convenient

Lovely well-maintained little flat in convenient location with helpful, friendly owners. Would be nice to have an aspect from one of the windows but the small terrace is an asset. Altogether, a good base for a Malaga holiday.

Very nice property , clean and tidy , had everything we needed and centrally located

Good directions to property . Gary was there to greet us. Kitchen supplied with coffee , tea, and basics . Chilled bottle of cava a very nice touch. Only downside was noise, builders in neighbouring property got off to an early start and neighbour above decided to rearrange all the furniture one night . We were probably a bit unlucky . Really nice apartment close to all amenities

Excellent location quiet and very clean and well equipped

Really helpful hosts very welcoming and easy to contact , apartment very central with some good bars and restaurants within walking distance, apartment really clean and well equipped with a pleasant outside terrace but it was a shame it never sees the sun but that did not stop our enjoying having an outside area to sit in for breakfast,
