The wide street of Calle Serrano – often considered to be Madrid’s answer to New York’s 5th Avenue – is just a short walk away, and is filled with designer stores, unique boutiques and great dining options. The stately Plaza de Colon is also nearby, as is the famous Castellana thoroughfare which leads into Madrid’s city centre. Transport links at Principe de Vergara are also within reach, allowing guests to explore the rest of the city and beyond with ease. Located on the second floor of a traditional building that is typical of the area, the apartment itself is bright and spacious, with no expense spared in its decoration or furnishings The elegant open-plan living area is the focal point of the apartment, and includes a sitting room, dining room, and fully-equipped modern kitchen. Original pillars add a sense of separation to the room, while at the same time keeping the communal, spacious feel. Surface area: 160 m2. Second floor. The entrance leads into the spacious living / dining area that is elegantly furnished with a large 3-seater sofa, a smaller colorful 2-seater sofa, a coffee table and wall-mounted flat screen TV with a DVD player. The lounge also has 2 additional seating areas each with 2 comfortable reading chairs and two round tables in each of the areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator / freezer, a 4-ring ceramic hob (stove), oven and microwave. The kitchen can be accessed directly from the entrance landing and also the living room. It is furnished with a round wooden table for 6. The hallway that leads to the bedrooms has a clever enormous closet which is where the laundry area of the apartment is found. It is equipped with a sink, built-in ironing board, washing machine/dryer and a comfortable hanging rod for drying clothing. This spacious apartment has three double bedrooms. The master bedroom is exterior facing has access to a balcony. It is furnished with a king size double bed (1.80m x 2.00m), 2 bedside tables with lamps, 2 leather foot stools elegantly placed at the end of the bed and has ample built-in wardrobes. The master en-suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a large double bed (1.60m x 2.00m), two bedside tables with modern lamps, a floor to ceiling headboard and ample storage space thanks to wall-to-wall built in wardrobes. This bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The third bedroom has two single beds (0.90m x 2.00m), a bedside table and lamp, built-in wardrobes and a small TV. The apartments third bathroom also has a large walk-in shower and is located directly across from the third bedroom and is therefore also ideal for guests. There is wood flooring throughout the property, except in the bathrooms, which are tiled.

Simply fantastic!

We loved the location and the quality of the apartment. Spain select did a fantastic job from our first contac. On arrival Alex greeted us right on time and explained everything incluiding nearby supermarkets and other useful tips about the place and surroundings. Our kids felt at home from day one. Would totally recommend this unit for a family or any group. Can't wait to go back!

Lovely apartment; great location

We stayed for a week in October 2016 and found the apartment comfortable, clean, quiet, and well furnished although we had two issues: an unpleasant odor in the first bathroom - perhaps from the drain or poor ventilation - and the heat function on the clothes washer/dryer did not work. The latter was fixed during our stay, but the odor remained a problem that we hope was resolved after our departure. The apartment has an interesting view from the living room and dining area, is in a very pleasant area of the city, and we appreciated the exterior rolling shutters on the windows and large, fluffy towels. We walked to nearby museums, parks, and gardens; there is a basic grocery store a block away. Clear instructions about the location of the ironing board would have been helpful, but we finally found it in a drawer in the well-equipped laundry area. There is a small elevator in the building. Assuming the odor problem is eliminated, I certainly would recommend this apartment.
