This beamed, terraced holiday retreat, situated in the centre of this small sleepy village and offering quietness and privacy, is ideal for a family holiday or for walkers. There is a decked area and steps down to the courtyard leading over a little bridge to a lovely main garden. Stockland is a small rural village in Devon, close to the boundary with Somerset. Its nearest neighbouring towns are Honiton and Axminster, which are 6 miles and 5 miles away respectively. It has a poplulation of around 600. The village is placed within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Stockland parish had historically been an exclave of Dorset until the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844. National Trust houses and gardens are a short distance away, or take a drive into Axminster, where Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall&rsquo;s &rsquo;River Cottage Canteen&rsquo; can be found. Exeter and Taunton are an easy drive. The west country region in the UK has a mild climate, very pretty villages and good train links. Lots to do in the area for all age groups. Honiton is the &rsquo;jewel in the crown&rsquo;, in east Devon, less populated than some areas, and once you have visited, you will want to return. The coast is 20 minutes&rsquo; drive from Stockland. Beach 10 miles. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub 3 miles..
