Lovely cottage in an ideal location
Love staying here, excellent walks along the beach and cliffs. Very dog friendly. Plenty of different places to eat out. Just a short drive to Barnstable where good shopping is to be had.
Stunning cottage with amazing views
Will definitely be be going back again. Lovely clean cottage, everything provided for the stay. With 3 bedrooms it was more than enough space for us. Throughly recommended.
Lovely character cottage with a modern interior
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Old Saltys from the lovely welcome pack which included a cream tea , to everything you could need in the cottage to make your stay hassle free . The outside decking gives you wonderful views of Westward Ho and the sandy beach and if your lucky enough you will enjoy some beautiful sunsets . The garden is enclosed so was safe for our two spaniels but equally would be suitable for children too .
Thank you 😊 Old Salty’s Cottage .
Old Salty's Cottage was spacious and cosy with excellent views and superb facilities
Loved the cottage. Views were spectacular. Everything we needed for a great holiday was provided in the house. Well equipped kitchen, comfy settees, plenty of hot water. Did a lot of walking, including coast path and circular walks. We were not massively impressed by Westward Ho! but did enjoy walks to Appledore which had some lovely pubs and places to eat, although we found drinks very expensive. In our opinion a car is needed to get to the best eateries and pubs which is the one downside to the position of this property.
A delightful cottage. Spacious, clean and really nice decor.
We have done many cottages over the years and this was one the best. Very clean and decor touches. Bedrooms are beautifully furnished. The cottage was equipped with everything you need in terms of wifi, games console and dvd player. Great views of Westward Ho! and a nice area.
The patio door was not easy to close, as it requires a lot of effort to lever up, before locking. Grateful when I called that somebody came to sort it out so promptly, but I am sure others have found the same.
Overall, one of the best cottages we have stayed in for many years.
ideal location very comfortable
spent 2 weeks here and enjoyed every day.
