Woodmead was once the blacksmith’s house and workshop. This quaint, thatched holiday cottage is ideally set on a quiet road just off the A303, perfect for enjoying all that Devon has to offer. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard. There is an oil fired Aga in the kitchen, a woodburner in the living room which is ideal for cosy evenings during the cooler months, a large enclosed garden, perfect on a summer’s day for al fresco dining. The property has many original features, such as an inglenook fireplace and beams. There are many National Trust properties close to the area, and Honiton, the gateway to Devon, is truly one of the friendliest market towns in the south west. Famous for its lace and pottery, Honiton has now become one of the most prosperous and lively shopping centres in East Devon. You will always find something of interest in Honiton and its surrounding area. With this unique holiday destination being within easy reach of both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, along with easy access to one of England’s most stunning coastlines, Honiton is an excellent base for people wishing to visit the West Country. Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast is close by, taking in Sidmouth, Seaton and Seaton Tramway. Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth are a great day out. Beach 19 miles. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
