Less than a mile from the centre of the village and set in a tranquil area, Magnolia Lodge has been renovated throughout. It’s set on the edge of a small exclusive park with other chalets, facing onto the woods, in an ideal quiet position. This detached lodge is all on one level, with a private hot tub for relaxing after a day of exploring. In the grounds of the former Otterburn Hall set in the Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park which is the largest in Europe, ideal for stargazers and astronomers. The village has its own mill shop, café and village shop/tea room selling some local produce. It is only 16 miles from the border counties. This is an ideal holiday base for couples or families to explore the Northumberland National Park, Keilder Forest and observatory and the Borders. Outdoor pursuits are a huge attraction in the area and a favourite location for walkers and adventure seekers, perfect for exploring the whole of this friendly and unspoilt county. Nearby, Bellingham has a choice of tea rooms, pubs and village shops while further afield, Alnwick with its famous castle and the Northumberland Heritage Coast, peppered with castles and beaches, makes a fine day out. Hadrians Wall is only a few miles away and is steeped in history, with Roman forts and museums along the way. Hexham and Rothbury are easily accessible with plenty of pubs and shops. Shop, bistro pub and restaurant 1 mile.
