Royal Park Terrace sits on the edge of the Queen's Park at the foot of Arthur's Seat, a historic Edinburgh landmark and extinct volcano.

Despite its close proximity to the town centre, the park boasts a diverse scenery of mountains, lochs with resident swans and wildlife and moorland adjacent to Holyrood Palace, the Queen's Scottish residence. There are spectacular walks to enjoy and a climb up to the top of Arthur's Seat is well worth the effort to fully appreciate the fascinating views of the city and beyond. The surrounding area is well served with supermarkets, shops, pubs, places to eat out and Meadowbank Sports Center is 5 mins. walk. There is an excellent public transport service into town both day and evening.

Great flat in an awesome location.

We really enjoyed this flat. Kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. Living room was spacious and comfortable. Bedroom was very nice and had a comfortable bed. Bathroom was newly renovated and really nice. Everything was clean and it was very quiet. Also lots of natural light from two large windows. Flat is in a great location right across from the east end of Holyrood Park. 5 minute walk to St. Margaret's Loch and St.Anthony's chapel ruins within Holyrood Park. About a 10 minute walk to Holyrood Palace, and about 25 minute walk to the center of Old town and the Royal mile or Waverly Station. Overall its in a quiet, safe, and beautiful part of Edinburgh and close to pretty much all of the main attractions and the city center. Also very quick bus service to the city center, but we just choose to walk everyday as it was close enough and its a beautiful walk.

Roomy flat, good location, all the amenities, and very accommodating host.

We had a good experience. We were there only two nights, but the flat was an easy walk to the Royal Mile and Old Town. Noel met us there and gave us a great overview along with the keys. We would definitely stay at the flat again.

Günstige Wohnung in guter Lage

Eine schöne, saubere 2-Zimmer Wohnung in ruhiger Lage direkt am Rand des Holyrood Parks, die alles bietet was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Ein großes Einkaufszentrum ist fußläufig in 10-15 Minuten zu erreichen, alternativ fährt man 2 Stationen mit dem Bus. In die Innenstadt gelangt man ebenfalls mit dem Bus (Fahrzeit 10-15 Minuten bis zur Princess Street), oder man genießt einen etwa 10-minütigen Spaziergang am Rand des herrlichen Holyrood Parks entlang bis zur Royal Mile.

Wer plant häufig mit dem Bus zu fahren und mindestens eine Woche in Edinburgh bleibt dem sei der Kauf einer Ridacard empfohlen. Die Ridacard ist das Äquivalent zur Wochen- bzw. Monatskarte und im Traveller Shop an der Waverley Bridge zu erstehen.

Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, er hatte uns im Vorfeld schon viele Fragen beantwortet. Da dies unser erster Edinburgh Trip war waren das nicht wenig :) Alle (An-)Fragen wurden in kürzester Zeit beantwortet.

Ich würde diese Wohnung jederzeit wieder buchen und vorbehaltlos weiterempfehlen.

Schöne, gemütliche Wohnung mit Top-Lage!

Ich war das erste Mal in Schottland und war einfach froh, dass ich eine Wohnung in der Nähe des Flughafens gefunden hatte. Als ich dann da ankam war ich sehr beeindruckt. Der Vermieter war super freundlich und hat uns alles erklärt und gezeigt. Die Wohnung war echt gemütlich und hatte alles, was man so braucht (Wifi, Fernseher, Fön, Pürierstab, Mikrowelle, Kaffemaschine...uvm). Sie liegt direkt am Arthur's Seat, einem tollen Berg, auf den man auf jeden Fall auch mal draufsteigen sollte. Die Gegend war ruhig und direkt an einem Park. Praktisch einmal um die Ecke war eine Haltestelle, von der alle paar Minuten Busse nach Edinburgh-Innenstadt fuhren (Dauer ca. 10 min). Der nächste Supermarkt war fußläufig so um die 10 min entfernt und war ziemlich groß und inklusive Apotheke.

Der Vermieter war über Telefon sofort zu erreichen.

Alles in allem war es ein echt schöner Urlaub auch dank der tollen Wohnung, in der man auch gerne einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen kann. Ich würde sie auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!! 5 Sterne!
