Surrounded by forest, Oak Tree Cottage is a former gun powder factory seeped in history.

Bedrooms 3
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 0 - 7 nights

About the property

A lovely cottage surrounded by forest with three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Oak Tree Cottage, which offers ground floor accommodation, is a delightful cottage set in an amazing position right in the middle of the forest and approached by a short narrow track. Surrounded by forest in a very quiet position you can walk from the front door in all directions, no roads, just woodland and heath land where ponies graze.

The cottage was part of an old gun powder factory dating from 1899. There are wonderful views from all the windows where you will spot wildlife. There is a flat fenced large garden with lawn and flower beds which is safe for children.

Eyeworth is a very pretty hamlet with a beautiful pond about 300 yards from the cottage with wild ducks. The wild ponies are often seen drinking from the side of the pond and the ducks are always looking for a crust of bread to be thrown in for them.
