About Lisa Davidson
My husband, Grant and I have owned a holiday home in Nefyn for over 10 years but have recently purchased Araul as a new venture to enjoy ourselves, along with our 3 children and to rent out. We love the Llyn Peninsula and have spent many happy days exploring or just relaxing in the fantastic surroundings. We live in Liverpool and have family in Nefyn so are regular visitors for pleasure and to check that everything is well-maintained at the house.
Lisa Davidson purchased this House in 2015
Why Lisa Davidson chose Nefyn
I holidayed on the Llyn as a child and carried on coming as a young adult, making friends in the area. I have been bringing my own children to the area since they were babies and they too have made friends. I love that it is relatively unchanged with a unique charm. On a sunny day I wouldn't be anywhere else in the world! Araul has a lovely light atmosphere and is laid out in a way which allows you to gather together as a group or have some quiet time. We hope you get chance to enjoy both the house and scenery and appreciate the lovely Llyn as we do.
What makes this House unique
The large garden with lots of seating to allow you to follow the sun plus the cute little summerhouse for you to enjoy! Use of an "in demand" beach hut when you book during the Summer
If you smoke please do so outside
One well behaved dog downstairs only

We chose the best week to go. Temperatures up to 28°. Perfect for a day out at the beach and the use of the beach hut. There was just the 3 if us and our little cockerpoo. He's very energetic and loved the large enclosed back garden. This house could easily take a large family. The outside shower was a great idea for cleaning the sand of the dog and our feet. Washing and tumble were a good addition not that we used them. There's plenty to do locally. Only a short drive to Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog. Only a 2 minute walk to the local chippy, pizza and kebab. Less than that to the Indian restaurant. A large Spa shop just up the road that stock everything you need, even takeaway food.
Plenty of parking spaces, easily enough for 3 cars on the property.
It's a good all round house. Perfect home from home.
Thanks Lisa for everything x
A lovely property in a great location.
Comfortable accommodation with everything we needed including the beach hut.
Fantastic place to stay
We are sadly leaving this property today after a great week. The house and garden were lovely and had more than enough room for our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Having access to the beach hut was fun, although we only used it once as dogs are not allowed on that part of the beach. Had to contact the owners over a problem and they were fantastic- very helpful. Nefyn itself looks quite run down on arrival with some businesses/eating places closed down, but the brewery over the road is well worth a visit, as is the Indian take away and the hotel restaurant. It’s a great location for visiting all places on the peninsula, but with much less traffic than when we’ve stayed on the South near Pwhelli. The coastal path and beach are just 2 minutes round the corner- perfect to watch the sunset, walk the dog or go for a run. Comfy beds and sofas, well equipped sunny kitchen/diner and 2 bathrooms. Wish we’d been able to stay for 2 weeks.
Great house near the beach
Just returned, had a great week, with our family and dog, the house is large and comfortable, 5 minutes walk down to the beach. A couple of small shops within walking distance. Fantastic having use of the beach hut, which is fully equipped with everything you need. The garden is ideal for children and dogs, the summer house is a nice addition. Having the extra fridge/freezer in the garage was very handy and also the outside shower, great for cleaning off after being on the beach. The owner was easily contactable and everything went smoothly.
Comfortable ... beautiful walks along the coast ... Fantastic Beach Hut ... Heather and David
Excellent … x
Perfect Family getaway
House was just perfect, very homely with toys, games etc for the kids to play. Garden was a lovely retreat especially with the summerhouse to hide from the sun! The beach hut was amazing, I don't do beaches normally but I'm almost converted, everything we could of needed was already there, spent two full days at beach and never missed a thing, the kids had a great time. Lisa was very accommodating and offered us a late check out which was very much appreciated although we couldn't make use of it but was lovely to be given the offer. We have stayed in several properties in the area over the last year and this was by far the favourite for us all, a lovely wee gem, just wish we had found it first!
25 minutes drive and you are into the Snowdonia National Park with all its attractions (climbing, walking, canoeing, rafting, mountain biking, caving, museums etc)
We are also within easy reach of many of the golden beaches of the Llyn including Abersoch and Aberdaron or catch some surf at Hells Mouth. Ty Coch, the famous beach-side pub is a half hour walk away.
There are several historic sights to visit in the vicinity too including the castles at Criccieth, Harlech and Caernarfon, not to mention the beautiful Portmeirion Village which is approximately 30 minutes drive away.
