About the property

Gamekeepers Cottage is the perfect retreat for couples, and convenient for visiting the coast or the city. Nestling in a sheltered, wooded location, this holiday cottage is a charming, detached, single storey, character cottage appealing to couples looking for a relaxing and peaceful location. With open rural views over surrounding countryside, it is set in neat pretty gardens with a private gated drive and patio. The cathedral city of Truro is just 1½ miles, and within easy reach of the scenic and beautiful Roseland Peninsula, with quiet coves and gorgeous coastal walks. Truro offers major shopping, restaurants, cafes, theatre, cinema, bowling and of course the magnificent cathedral. Nearby is Malpas, with the river leading to creeks and waterways; take lunch or dinner while watching the small boats meander down the river. St Mawes is within easy reach, with its Henry VIII castle standing proudly on the headland, and has a picturesque seafront, quaint shops, tea rooms and the ferry service across to the busy port of Falmouth. The location is ideal for visiting both the rugged north coast, popular with surfers and coastal walkers, or the more tranquil sailing waters of the south coast, including Falmouth. The area has numerous sub tropical gardens including Trelissick, Durgan and Trebah to explore. There is unspoilt countryside, a bird watcher’s paradise, and for the more adventurous, the area has great cycle trails and networks along the old tramlines from Devoran on the south coast to Portreath on the north coast. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
