This spacious apartment with it's large south facing terrace is in a prime location in the cosmopolitan port. It is within strolling distance of superb cafes, restaurants and shops which line the shore front. Arranged over two floors, the apartment's dining and living areas open on to the large south-facing terrace with views over the harbour with its fleet of pleasure boats and the dramatic pine covered hills rising up behind. The decor of beige tiles and white and dark brown spanish furniture give the apartment a sense of light and space. the master bedroom on the ground floor opens out onto a beautiful small garden which in turn leads on to the pool and sunloungers.
Things to do: Although mostly thought of as a summer holiday destination, Mallorca (Majorca) enjoys a beautiful climate throughout the year. The apartment, with its central heating and air-conditioning is suitable to enjoy a longer stay on the island. Special rates apply for bookings for more than 2 weeks, For those who do not want to drive there is an excellent bus service to Andraitx village, Palma, and to all parts of the north of the island. A ferry service leaves the port each day for San Telmo and in the evening, Pegeira. The port can be the centre for visiting the mountain villages of Deja, Valldemossa, Orien, Port de Soller, and the monasteries and caves of the Island. On Mallorca there are walks for everyone, from the beginner to the experienced, with excellent waymarked maps available in local shops.
First of all I have to thanks the owners for their support before, during and after the rental. We were first time visitors to the island and they went out of their way to fully and promptly answer all our questions in a very complete and helpful way. Many thanks!!
The property is exactly as described. Well located, easy to find, clean, well kept and secure. There is more than adequate space and facilities for a group of six. The pool and terrace are secluded and just fine if you fancy a lazy day "at home".
Port D'Andratx is a somewhat upmarket town centered on a large marina. All facilities are in easy walking distance of the property including many good restaurants, supermarket and shops. Very suitable for all but would have extra appeal for anyone interested in boating, diving etc.
Further afield the entertainment and night life of Palma, Magaluf and Palmanova are in easy reach along the coast by car or the remarkably good bus and taxi services. Alternatively the beauty, peace and quiet of Soller and Deia are through the mountains to the north.
In summary - an excellent base, just away from the main noise and bustle. And yes, we would certainly visit again.
The description was accurate regarding the location,layout and facilities. The apartment was in exellent condition, it was clean and well-maintained, beds and kitchen are in very good condition. I can recommend this prpoperty to a friend.
We have stayed at this beautiful apartment and were very happy in everyway. The description of the apartment is as described, it is well equipped and is in a very good postion for walking into the port and to the small local beach. The apartment faces south and from the balcony has a panoramic view over the Port d' Andraitx and mountains. Sky TV is available together with a CD player and a library of books. There is an excellent choice of restaurants in the Port, a number of which are on the waters edge. Alternatively there is a good supermarket in the Port with a fresh fish counter with additional supermarkets in Peguera. We hired a car but there is a good bus service to Palma which we have also used. We can highly recommend this apartment to all families .
