This is a charming end of terrace cottage in the lovely village of Great Walsingham, close to the beautiful National Trust North Norfolk coastline. We have owned our cottage for nearly thirty years as our holiday home. It has been renovated and modernised whilst retaining its traditional character and features. There are many conveniences - washing m/c, dishwasher, Wifi and You View television. Mobile reception is not reliable, so there is a 24/7 free call facility to UK landlines, and of course you can receive landline calls. It's cosy - there's underfloor and storage heating, and a fan heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom.. There's also a wonderful open fire in the sitting room, with coal and logs supplied. Two bedrooms upstairs, one with a double bed, the other with a sofabed which can be used either as a double, or as two singles. There are plenty of duvets and pillows. The pretty and secluded patio garden has outside furniture, lighting and barbecue. It's very reasonably priced as you bring your own linen and towels. Well-behaved pets are welcome. The kitchen is fullyequipped for cooking at home and the cupboards are well-stocked. Please use our general household items (loo roll, wash up, baked beans, etc) but if anything is getting low, please replenish.
2 bedroom cottage in pretty village setting, five miles from North Norfolk coast

We bought our lovely cottage when our children were of primary school age. We have enjoyed family holidays for years exploring the North Norfolk coast and enjoying what it has to offer - sailing, going to see the seals, stately homes, horse-riding, crab-fishing, walking, cycling the Norfolk lanes. The children have long since grown up but "going to Norfolk" is an essential part of their lives. Since I retired from special needs teaching in 2009 I spend about a third of my time at the cottage, and have enjoyed letting friends and family enjoy it too.
Fran purchased this Cottage in 1987
Why Fran chose Little Walsingham
I first went to Norfolk when I was in my mid-twenties. I was working in a school for disturbed children in Surrey and one of my colleagues who came from Norfolk had recently bought a holiday cottage there. My husband and I went to stay, with very low expectations of Norfolk as a county - my mother had told me it was "very very flet", because Noel Coward had told her that in his play Private Lives. But wow, not only is central Norfolk not "flet" it is also stunningly beautiful, with huge wide-open skies and glorious beaches.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage is such a lovely, cosy place and its village setting is truly beautiful - next to the village green, with the 16th century Manor House opposite, and historic Berry Hall at the bottom of the green (reputedly visited by Henry VIII on one of his pilgrimages to Walsingham).

Cosy and comfortable
We had a wonderful few days in Fran's cottage - exploring North Norfolk. The cottage was comfy and welcoming - a real home from home. Thankyou Fran!
You are very welcome Hilary. It's good to know that you enjoyed both Norfolk and the cottage. It's a special place for me and it gives me great pleasure when other people enjoy it too.
A charming cottage with good facilities
We stayed here for three nights in July/August with our two small children. The house was an ideal base to visit the local area, particularly Little Walsingham which is very close. Will definitely stay again.
Thank you James. You are very welcome, and you and your family have been five star guests.
Great property, good location
Lovely property in a good location for the north Norfolk coast. Excellent communication from host.
Thanks Rachel. Good to know that you enjoyed your stay.
It was quiet and restful which what I wanted and needed.
Thank you Ann, I am pleased that the cottage and Great Walsingham provided what you wanted.
A little cluttered, no room for shopping to be stored.
A lovely setting, very peaceful and quiet. Local traffic very fast on tiny roads.
Cosy cottage, lovely location, log fire to boot!
We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at the cottage. It was a lovely, quiet location within easy reach of various beautiful Norfolk spots. We spent time at Holkham Hall (where we hired bikes), Wells-Next-The-Sea, Cromer, Horsey for seeing the seals, Heacham for the lavender farm and all very drivable from the cottage. The cottage itself was lovely - great communication from Fran and had everything we needed. My husband particularly enjoyed the chance at using the log fireplace. The only thing I think we could pick on if we had to would be to have a more powerful shower, but we certainly coped with what is there. All in all, a lovely place to stay with easy access to many places and lovely eateries. Thanks Fran. x
Thanks Janey. So pleased that you enjoyed beautiful North Norfolk and your stay in my little cottage.
Little Walsingham is a place of pilgrimage - sometimes referred to as The English Lourdes.
