Hello I am Irene and I will respond to requests for reservations for Villa San Martino.
The owners, Elizabeth and Paola Navarrini, have seen this house built by his father, then doctor in the area, who he managed to get this piece of land of 6000m² and woods.
He finished building the villa in 1965. Since then, the family has arranged for their holidays this little paradise , to get away from frenetic and noisy city, ceremonial feasts to celebrate the marriage of daughters and grandchildren, and all occasions for inviting friends and family and enjoy together an absolute peace and quiet that offers this elegant Villa.
I live Florence and I work in Greve in Chianti in a company that produces wine and olive oil and I am willing to give info and let you know and checking availability.
Elisabetta and Paola, will welcome you for checking-in at your arrival (I remember always the time to be agreed prior to check-in) they will show the functionality of the house and all the services available.
Elisabetta purchased this villa in 1964
The owners rent the villa for several years mainly to families , as very well suited to groups and those still looking for a place full of peace and only the sound of nature , to retreat from a hot day spent strolling in the city of Florence or Siena and if so agreed , enjoy all the comforts of a cottage built entirely on the ground floor , with a very large garden and a swimming pool with a wonderful landscape around .
The private pool has got steps for enter and with one hand over and a ladder .
The Terrace , the entrance to the living room , open with stone columns and wooden beams is marvelous .
Two bedrooms have direct access to the garden via long terrace communicating , also covered .
As you enter there is a large space , the living room talking with the other dining room and the kitchen . Large open plan living . Two large fireplaces .
Comfortable , cozy , functional and bright .
House was been renovated and rented out for vacation rentals since 2010 (as noted by the guest book). Stayed here for 6 nights with my family and a family friend. The house is very comfortable with a spacious living room. The newly renovated kitchen flows into the living room. Dishwasher, gas stove, fridge and washing machine also worked well. Lots of natural light spills in from the large windows.
Two of the bedrooms have a exterior door with direct access to the pool. Heating was provided during certain hours as this was autumn and the evenings were cooler. Pictures in the VRBO accurately reflex the vacation home.
Able to cook most meals in this kitchen easily and even had a cooking lesson from a professional chef in this house.
Was able to do many day trips to various local wineries and sites such as Volterra and San Gimignano. They were able to provide a baby cot and high chair too.
Weather was too cool to use the pool but it was maintained impeccably as were the grounds. Quiet and restful stay for the end of our vacation in Italy.
Villa San Martino is stunning, inside and out! Located five minutes from the delightful little town of Panzano, this Tuscan villa is beautifully appointed, from the kitchen to the living spaces to the bedrooms. Everything you need to be able to cook your meals is provided in the beautiful kitchen, if you choose to do so. There is a conveniently located Co-op in Panzano, as well as another Co-op that is larger and just a bit farther away, in Greve in Chianti. A beautiful pool is the centerpiece of a lovely yard and the villa is surrounded by beautiful trees on all sides, making it a private retreat. An outdoor terrace with comfortable furniture allows you to sit outside overlooking the pool and enjoying the outdoors. Sisters Paola and Elisabetta are gracious and helpful and have created a charming, inviting home. Two bedrooms contain double beds, a third has two twin beds, and the two bathrooms are comfortable and spacious, with walk-in, stall showers in each. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa San Martino!
The property was very clean, well equiped, and beyond our expectations.
Mrs Paola is proud of her villa and we can see how much care she takes to welcome her guests.
We dream of going back or to discover another place like this one.
Our greatest thanks
The house was just amazing, you had everything you needed, kitchen fully equipped which was a real fun.
You also have the herbs/ olive oil and even a coffee to use, so they do provide the basics, which is super convenient.
The house gave a feeling of very homey/ cozy place. The pool is just perfect although it's not heated.
We stayed in Sugust and no need for an AC! temperature is just right.
Location wise - amazing, the fact that it's 5 min drive from a COOP supermarket location also helps.
Panzano is the nearest village and it's just what we needed.
Internet is so - so, if you happen to come few of you, make sure, in advance, to get enough passwords ( as each device requires a different one).
This amazing experience was ruined in the last day when we checked out - the owners of the place ( two 60 years plus ladies) came to meet with us, they came 15 min before the actual hour we needed to leave ( 10 am).
When they saw that the house is still not ready ( as we were 4 adults and 4 young kids) they started to take photos of the place, shout in Italian, made everything theycan to make is very uncomfortable.
We indeed didn't prep well to leave on time but still they made us feel as if we ruined their place when we only needed 30 minutes to pack our things and organize the house.
They actually told us they do not wish to pay us back the deposit !
This is because the shits and blankets were not organized and the freege was still full with food, we also moved some beds to stand next to the walls ( as we have young kids).
They were really mad and rude, for no reason.
So if you do consider this place as an option,
The house is great, but please do set expectations with the owners on how they expect you to return the house at the last day.
This was a charming farm house that was centrally located. The two sisters who owned the house were there to greet us, and were very helpful. The town of Penzano was just down the street and there we found a couple of good restaurants. The views in the area are spectacular. The directions to find the place were a bit sketchy, mainly due to English as their second language. But once we found it, everything was as stated in the listing.
We hebben met 7 personen gedurende een week genoten van dit heerlijke huis. Alles was perfect en de omgeving is werkelijk prachtig. Vrije toegankelijkheid tot WIFI zou welkom zijn geweest. Dit was helaas niet het geval.
