This spacious (69 sqm), modern one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of the Rockwell building is the perfect base from which to explore everything Cape Town has to offer.

The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the lounge has a sofa couch (all linen and towels provided), making it perfect for couples and small families. The bathroom has a bath and shower with soap, shampoo etc provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all essentials including microwave, nespresso machine, washing machine and dryer. A spacious balcony with views of the harbour enjoys morning sun and offers a perfect relaxation spot after a long days’ sightseeing. Importantly, the apartment is on the quiet side of the building, facing away from the main street.

Our trusted housekeeper, Canaan will take care of your dishes, washing and cleaning once or twice per week at no charge

For internet access, unlimited, high speed (100MB/s) fibre Wi-Fi is included at no charge.

Guests have access to the communal indoor swimming pool, gym and a secure, underground parking space.

The ground level of the Rockwell building has a coffee shop and attached is a sushi restaurant and an excellent French restaurant.

Please note that the apartment is privately owned within the Rockwell hotel with 24 hour security and a 24 hour manned reception desk, but it is not managed by the hotel.

With plenty of shopping and dining opportunities De Waterkant oozes urban chic charm and an enviable location – in the heart of Cape Town, close to the V&A Waterfront, the City Centre and the Convention Centre. Table Mountain is only a 10-minute drive away; Cape Town International Airport 15-minutes and the world-famous beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay are 10-15-minutes away.

There is an excellent supermarket across the road from the Rockwell for all your self-catering needs.

We try to meet our guests personally, but should we be out of town, you will be met by Canaan, our trusted housekeeper. Alternatively, there is a key safe on the door to the apartment for self-check in, with 24-hour security.

Great apartment on the edge of the city and V&A Waterfront

Jonathan did a great job communicating, meeting us and the apartment was a perfect size for two. Nice to have security of a hotel, but advantage of apartment features. Appreciate his flexibility with timing.

Bright, clean and well located.

This is a lovely apartment that has all amenities you could require. We walked to most major sites. The kitchen was well-equipped and we loved the big balcony. We appreciated the supermarket around the corner.

Excellent stay - very much enjoyed it

We stayed here for five weeks while on business and vacation in Cape Town. The apartment is as advertised and is situated in an “apartment hotel” but is privately owned. We were very happy with the arrangement. From the apartment you can walk to many of the attractions in Cape Town. A supermarket, Thrifty car rental and a bus stop for the Citibus network are just a few steps away.

Jonathan was an excellent host and attended to a few minor issues promptly. We would certainly book here again if we came back to Cape Town.

my bad luck

this location and unit was almost perfect. It was just my bad luck that I tripped up the lobby bar step, fell, and came up bruised from head to toe,

and a twisted, broken arm. The restaurant and dinner theatre made up for it and we parted on good terms.

Very nice property

Lovely apartment and very well equipped.

Everything we needed for our 6 night stay. We cooked some meals and enjoyed a number of restaurants close by.

Having a grocery store so close made it easy to eat in or have take away, as we wanted.

The V&A waterfront is just a short taxi ride away as well as the Long Street shopping area which is within walking distance(approx 15 min)

Overall a very pleasant stay
