Full Description

BossonsA is a luxury apartment 2.5 km from Chamonix centre in the village of Les Bossons - a beautiful tranquil area equidistant between Chamonix centre and Les Houches. The views of the Bossons glacier and Mont Blanc Massif are breathtaking from both inside the apartment or on the balcony. You can walk into Chamonix centre along the bike route in about 20 minutes (cycle in 10) or catch one of the local buses or trains for free. There is a superb hotel about a 5 minute walk (Hotel l'Aiguille du Midi) with a great and cosy bar and traditional restaurant and on your door step multiple snow shoe and running trails. Athough not essential, we do recommend you have access to a car if renting this chalet.

The apartment is finished to a luxurious and comfortable alpine standard but with a modern contemporary finishing. It benefits from huge windows in the lounge and balcony access giving one of the best views of the Mont Blanc massif. The lounge has ample seating with a sofa, 2 armchairs, dining table and chairs plus a breakfast bar. There is an open fire-place for cosy nights in (wood not provided), a TV with UK Freeview and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size oven, microwave oven, 4-ringed hob, extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and plenty of cupboard storage. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has a bunk bed - both have ample storage. The bathroom is fully equipped with a bath and shower, full size basin, a washing machine plus a separate WC. There is access to the bathroom from the hallway and also the main bedroom. The basement includes a ski locker and there is general parking outside the residence included in the price. The setting of BossonsA is perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful chalet apartment but also within easy reach of the centre.

Beautiful apartment with helpful landlord

We were a group of four staying in this lovely apartment, which is equipped with everything you might need. There is plenty of space to cook, eat and relax in and lots of room for coats and kit. We found the apartment very fresh and clean. The views of the mountains and the village of Les Bossons are amazing and very picturesque. Robin (the landlord) was very helpful and informative before the trip and we received a warm welcome from Joey (the manager) when we arrived. The bus stop and the railway station are very close which makes getting in and out of Chamonix easy. Would definitely recommend it!

Simply Perfect

It's been over eight months (time flies!) since our visit to Chamonix and this wonderful apartment, and I'm actually embarassed that I had still not posted a review.

I am, however, going to "try" to keep it simple as everyone else has already stated the obvious (location, decor, access to ski lifts & public transport etc are perfect), but, for me, the primary reason for my return visit to this property rental webpage, and ultimately a request for a further additional booking is the landlord and the Manager that I had the pleasure in dealing with in January this year (2011).

It's been stated previously, but I can quite happily support the advocation of the quality of decor, location of the property and convenience of public transport etc, but the star quality for me was the continual support and relentless dedicaton from the landlord from the initial enquiry e-mail to the postcard he sent me (from Chamonix) after our departure.

Although this was not strictly part of the service on offer, my partner, and I, were collected from the centre of Chamonix upon our arrival (we did not have a car, and were completely lost). We were taken to all of the local shops to collect amenities, given firewood by the apartment, shown around the local area, shown the public transport locations (which you can actually see from the apartment they're so close), and given a multitude of documents detailing everything we could wish to know (as newcomers to the area).

Robin, I thank you for your hospitality, and I appreciate your kindness in regards to our last day and the difficulty we had with our luggage / departure time etc.

From my partner, and I, to all prospective tentants, this location (Chamonix) is shocking, it truly is, and the apartment is wonderful. The location is incredible and the view from balcony is something I strive for in a home to retire in. You can't go wrong with this property, and the owners / caretakers are great!

The only thing left is for me to learn to ski as well as my partner (this was my first time skiing) and I'll be coming back for years!

Wow, what a great place! (for a family)

Lovely, clean, well-equipped apartment, with very helpful owner, a perfect base for skiing. The pictures tell the story. Great views of Mont Blanc from the apartment and the balcony. There is a lift up to the flat (3rd floor) which is a great comfort to weary limbs after a day's skiing!

A father and son (both adults) shared the room with bunks, which was a bit of a squeeze, but just about possible... they were able to use the cupboard space in the apartment's hallway and there is certainly plenty of storage space in the double bedroom. The apartment might be best suited to a couple with 2 smaller children but it would also be fine for up to 4 adults as long as they were good friends!

We had a car so can't comment on train or bus connections but would think a car is best for getting to the slopes which are further away. Chamonix is best for good intermediate or expert skiers, especially if you like off-piste.

Perfect apartment for Chamonix vacation

We stayed as a group of 4 people in March to ski in Chamonix. The apartment definitely exceeded our expectations. The chalet is cozy, beautifully decorated, having enough space for 4 people without feeling crowded it all. (Apartment appeared more spacious in real life than it did in the photos!) The view from the balcony is unbeatable, and the location was ideal for a ski holiday, being within easy driving distance to the different lifts. Also very easy to get into town (by car or by bus).

It was a pleasure to deal with the owners & property manager. We would 100% recommend this apartment for anybody looking to have a relaxing vacation in Chamonix. A real home away from home!

perfect base to visit the alps

We spend 8 days just after xmas, and really loved it,wewere concerned it would be a bit small, but once we arrived it truely is bigger than it looks in the photos, lovely spacious kitchen, bedrooms are fine, nice modern bathroom anda cosy lounge area. the apartment is central to many attractions, we are not keen skiers but still found loads to do, the hotel down the road is very welcoming for drinks or food...would definatly book again.

Chamonix Mont-Blanc is one of the world's premier ski destinations. Situated at the foot of Europe's highest mountain, the Aiguille du Midi cable car takes you up to 3800m for the start of the 26km descent of the world famous Vallée Blanche off-piste run, or simply to marvel at the stunning views of Mont-Blanc. There are four major ski areas in the valley: Brevent/Flegere, Les Grands Montets, Les Houches and Le Tour. Beginners' areas are located throughout the valley. There is easy access for day trips to Verbier in Switzerland and Courmayeur in Italy.

Building is located on a quiet chemin vert lane meaning that it gets very little traffic.
