The microclimate of the village of Viscalori makes it a great vacation spot in both summer and winter. Known as one of the historic towns in which stabilized the population of Viagrande, Viscalori stands today as the most elegant residential area of Mt Etna.The historical Villa Visso is set over a generous 500sqm and located on the Etna slopes, surrounded by a splendid Sicilian garden of 4.000sqm. In the garden you'll find a swimming pool that comes complete with a breathtaking view of the Ionian Sea that stretches all the way from Siracusa to Calabria.
The Villa is arranged on 3 levels and remains true to its strong and historic character, with little (if anything) of the whole structure having been changed across the years. Beautiful furniture and decorations of the Sicilian liberty architectural style abound, as well as a collection of unique pieces of anthropological antiques. There are also many pieces of artwork celebrating the mechanical, as the owner is an ex-pilot and likes to have his passion shine throughout the property!
The ground floor is comprised of independent entrance, a large lounge room with a fireplace, a grand piano and a library. The garden houses a large table with various comfortable spaces to enjoy tea, lounge chairs and sunbeds for moments of relaxation. Then there's the typical Sicilian stone kitchen with its stone oven, as well as a boudoir and bathroom for the guests.
The first floor contains a double bedroom suite with a terrace overlooking the sea, a private bathroom with a spacious mosaic bath and a living room. Also on the first floor there is another double bedroom complete with private bathroom and view over the back garden. The second floor is comprised of a double bedroom, a cosy and relaxing, private bathroom with shower and view over the swimming pool and up to Mount Etna.
In the ancient wine press (known locally as a "Palmento") you'll find a billiard table and fitness area.
