Hello, and thank you for viewing our listing. Our apartment is a second floor (top) 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (one is en suite to the master bedroom) apartment in beautiful Los Jardines in Calahonda, Mijas Costa. Come and enjoy the fantastic sea views from the terrace; take in the spectacular views whilst sipping a glass of Sangria or a cold beer. There is a smaller terrace off the kitchen that also has sea and mountain views for you to enjoy.
The main terrace has the sun all day with the added benefit of shade from the fitted canopy that is easily operated. Look out over the communal pool that is great for the kids. It is huge, but very family friendly and has a lifeguard on duty at all times. Pool is open from start of May until end of October.
The kitchen is fully fitted with brand new washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. It also has a full size oven and hob. No need to pack loads of clothes, wash as you go. The lounge is a great size with 2 sofas, a dining table and plenty of space. There is internet (hi speed broadband) and TV package for those lazy evenings and a lovely relaxed atmosphere around the complex. For winter rentals there is a heater in the lounge and en suite bathroom. The air-con units also work as heaters should you need them.
It is not a huge complex, it is in a very quiet residential street with plenty of parking. You have your own private steps up to the front door of the lovely whitewashed buildings. They are extremely well-kept with lush gardens and clean and tidy environment. This is our second home, not just a rental !
The main bedroom is a great size with a lovely fully fitted en suite (full size bath with shower, bidet, toilet and wash basin vanity unit). There are sliding patio doors direct to the terrace with those stunning views. This room can be set up as two single beds if required.
The second bedroom is similar but slightly smaller in size with 2 single beds and fitted wardrobes. It is directly next to the main bathroom (quite compact) that has shower, toilet and wash basin. There is a sliding door leading directly onto a smaller terrace at the rear of the apartment that looks onto the street. This also has sea and mountain views !
There is AIR CONDITIONING IN EVERY ROOM ! NO EXTRA CHARGE. Essential for those hot summer nights !
As I say, this is not just a rental. There is a really nice homely feel to the apartment and the area itself. It is just a 10 minute walk to the lovely sandy 'Luna' beach where you can enjoy sunbeds, beach bar and restaurant. From there you can walk to the famous Cabopino Beach with Andy's bar: a live music and party venue for the whole family. There are watersports available: Jetskis, pedalo's and the like.
The nearest airport is Malaga and our apartment is just a 30 minute drive from there. Or you could take the train to Fuengirola and take a cab (about E20). It is an easy commute. We can arrange airport pick up/drop off if required. There are numerous shopping facilities and restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. Explore El Zoco with its bars, restaurants and supermarkets and La Cala, an upmarket centre with shops, bars, restaurants and a large selection of shops.
Please note: the air conditioning units are operated on a timer. Once switched on the air con units can be used for 2 hours. When they go off and you are still indoors all you need to do is press the button again and they will come back on immediately. This is to prevent misuse and save our lovely planet a bit.
The pool is open from May until October.
In order to provide our guests with top quality cleanliness we kindly ask that guests check in no earlier than 3pm and check out before 10am on day of departure. Of course, we can arrange an earlier check in or later check out if required.
Our laundry is cleaned in a launderette by a professional cleaner. They are not just washed in a washing machine.

This property is registered with a ‘Declaración Responsable’ with Junta de Andalucía with a provisional registration number CTC-2018105508.
There are certain things in the apartment that are to comply with this registration process. Complaints forms and guest registration forms are the main things for guests to be aware of. Your stay will need to be notified to the local Guardia Civil which I will complete once all guest’s details are obtained. You will have been provided with these forms prior to your holiday. You will only need to complete them and send back to me. I will do the rest.
