Five bedrooms, large gardens, vaulted ceilings, oak beams, quality furniture

Relax and unwind in a very picturesque and rural location with large landscaped gardens overlooking two pools with open fields and woodland, idillic for walking. Exposed beams and sandstone are throughout the house, four rooms have vaulted ceilings, there are floors of oak, slate and italian tiles. Period and antique furniture & high quality decor such as hand printed wallpaper adorns certain walls. There are very modern facilities such as microwave, washing machine, smeg oven and american style fridge freezer. There are 5 bedrooms in total. One vaulted bedroom hosts a luxurious Superking half tester bed and en suite with bath, bidet, granite surrounded sink and and shower. Another bedroom is large beamed and vaulted, it has a stylish antique french corbiere double bed, single bed and seating area. There is one double room with exposed beams and an antique pine bed with vintage decoupage wardrobe. The twin room hosts two high quality pine beds and a washbasin and handmade cupboard. The single bedroom is cosy and shabby chic and has exposed beams and stonework. There is a very large kitchen area with slate floor tiles, handmade kitchen cupboards, integral bins and microwave. The unusual granite work surfaces make for a lovely area to cook upon overlooking the garden and fields beyond. Modern facilities include a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a breakfast room with table seating for 6 with exposed stonework and vaulted ceiling, french doors onto the patio and garden and field views. A very spacious lounge hosts oak flooring and beams with field, woodland and pool views, there is a huge stone chimney, woodburner for those colder evenings and handmade stained antique triangular windows with etchings of local hares and hens. The dining room has a very large and unusual dining table made from a tree trunk slice which is perfect for entertaining up to 11 people. The large hall entrance has seating and several exposed beams with a handmade staircase rising to the right. There is also another bathroom with a shower and sunken bath. The downstairs loo has handmade cupboards and tiles with a quarry tile floor.

Lose yourself in the countryside in the large landscaped garden with lawn area, woodland area, patios, bridge, stream and pond area, children's play area, and a host of flower, tree and shrub borders. Rabbits, buzzards, swans, squirrels, owls, woodpeckers and bats are regular visitors to the gardens and the surrounding fields.

There are plenty of footpaths directly from the property and 3 large pools to walk around. The surrounding fields, pools and river walks are very pretty.

The driveway accommodates 6 cars and there are 2 parking spaces at the rear of the property.

This is a perfect getaway for family and friends. Children and well behaved dogs are welcome.

Hello, my name is Nicola and I have owned and rented holiday accommodation for guests for over 6 years both nationally and internationally. I love to travel to different places and realise how important it is to thoroughly enjoy your travels. I also enjoy renovating properties and interior designing which is why the properties that I offer are very unique and unusual. This inspires me to make a very special effort to make my guests holidays very memorable and worthwhile, with all of those unexpected little extras that make you feel special. I am really happy to liaise with guests before their arrival to help them plan any special events or give any advice about the property or surrounding area.

Why The Owner chose Malvern Hills

The location here is idillic and the property is very unusual. This has been our family home for over 13 years, so the quality of build and artisan work within has been to a high standard. If you are looking for a really unusual and rural holiday home with lots of added detail, features and unusual architectural and artisan work, then this will suit you well. The views are pretty breathtaking and there are mature gardens filled with trees, shrubs and flowers for your pleasure. The property is set between three pools and open fields, woodland and winding streams and rivers. The pretty spa town of Tenbury Wells accommodates the pretty River Teme and should provide you with all you need and hosts many cafes, Inns, delicatessens, gift shops, local grocery stores, butchers and local independent stores not to mention a swimming pool set within parkland by the river.

The location is perfect amongst fields, woodland, pools and rivers yet it is only a couple of miles from the pretty spa town of Tenbury Wells.

The house is furnished to a very high standard and is unusually spacious for holiday home.

There is the gastronomically famous medieval town of Ludlow just 9 miles away and plenty of areas of interest to visit locally.

A very comfortable stay

We found this home very comfortable with very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

We were four couples, but plenty room for more with big out door play grounds.for kids.

Over all very nice, clean. Had lots of fun.....

Great escape

This is a grand place to stay with quirky objects scattered around everywhere, the decor is beautiful as is the surrounding garden. Nikki was very informative and a pleasure to speak with. If you are looking for a peaceful break in a lovely property then this is it.

Fantastic- was just like the photos & more.

We'd booked the house to take both sets of parents, our daughters, boyfriend & dog and it was perfect for us all. The owner keeps it in excellent condition with a lovely welcome basket on arrival.

The house & grounds were fully equipped for the family get together. Great location & setting, lots of walks & we had fab weather!

Would recommend to a family group!

Girls weekend away

What a fabulous property. We have stayed at many cottages/holiday homes over the last 10 years on our girls weekends away but this property by far out shines all the others. Lots of room in the house and in the beautiful gardens. Everything you need in the kitchen including a wonderful welcome basket. We didn't meet the owner (I didn't see the need for her to meet us there, even though she did offer) although she was only a phone call away. All the ladies loved the place and we would recommend this lovely house to anyone looking for a break away from it all in a very inviting, comfortable and spacious property.

Very impressed with the house,location and welcome by the owner

Nicola the owner was the perfect host. She gave us a generous welcome pack,was very informative and helpful throughout our stay.

The house is very nice,with each room having something different as well as art and other items of interest,as it had been a family home.

We had a wonderful family get together weekend and would recommend this house to others to enjoy.

Perfection in a huge house!

Relax and unwind in this large period country house and garden that overlooks 3 large pools settled along a winding stream situated amongst miles of rural fields and woodland. Only two miles from the historic and picturesque Spa Town of Tenbury Wells which has the river Teme weaving through it's centre with many bustling eateries and independent shops and deli's. At the edge of our garden swans nest, woodpeckers knock, cuckoos sing, herons' soar, buzzards circle, owls hoot and our naughty little squirrels steal the birdfood just to upset the visiting robins, finches and coal tits who feed from our window. We even get the colourful and noisy woodpeckers visit our window feeders. Situated between the historic medieval gastronomic town of Ludlow with it's imposing castle, walls and river, Leominster with it's Georgian fronted high streets filled with antique and shabby chic independent shops and Bromyard with it's quaint small market town feel. A little further afield are the beautiful mountainous areas of Church Stretton which forms part of The Long Mynd hosting many waterfalls and incredible views, Ironbridge the historic victorian industrial town, Worcester Cathedral city,the home of shopping and Elgar, Offa's Dyke, Brecon Beacons, Ledbury and Hereford home of the famous Cathedral chained library and Mappa Mundi.

Please could you leave the house in good order and treat the property and contents with respect. Replace any broken items. Place your rubbish away in the wooden box outside the back door before leaving. Clean all crockery etc. before departure. Report any problems or breakages to me immediately so these can be replaced/rectified to save other guests from inconvenience. There is a no smoking policy in house but you are welcome to smoke in the garden, please put stubs directly into the outside bin. For eco purposes if you could throw dirty towels/flannels in the bath that would really help me too! Thank you so much and have an excellent time!
